I would imagine much to the relief of a great number of supporters the league matches are now out of the way and they can salivate over the Cup which has been on their mind for several weeks now. I thought that as there had been hysteria roaming the streets of Plymouth we needed to have a long run in for the match day thread this time.

According to the latest news we have pretty much sold the tickets for Anfield and there are only a few left and then restricted view tickets. There again we always knew the tickets would go so it doesn't come as much surprise. I know Liverpool are going to think this match is a walk over for them and Heir Klopp will field a second string side but to be honest I don't much care what he fields. For us the league is by far and away the most important thing this season as it probably is for them. The laugh would be for Adams to do the same. That might just pee off the players who in my opinion have had one eye on this game for a couple of league matches at least now. I doubt we will go any further and we are guaranteed the pay out which for us is what it is all about currently.

I'm not going for two reasons. First one is that I refuse to get up at silly o'clock to travel up there or to spend silly money going for the weekend and having to fork out to stay in a Hotel. The second is that we will probably play their second or third eleven which kills the spirit of the cup anyway. I'm going to the Pub with my gang and will be throwing peanuts at the plastics who happen to be there. My gang consists of two clerical type workers whose only muscular atributes is an ability to rip open an envelope and another pensioner who is older than me. We will have several pints which might turn out to be the days highlight. Once it is all over we can get back to doing what we should be concentrating on and that's winning promotion.

It doesn't seem to be Derek Adams style to play understrength teams.....he'll pick his best available team.....and I also think every player would like to play in this one......so upsetting his players by not picking his strongest available eleven wouldn't help his promotion chances anyway.

Also a good showing at Liverpool wouldn't do Adams future career any harm at all.

The Cup can do strange things to players.....maybe Carey will play a blinder....it's about time he picked his game up again.....a couple of penalty chances for him wouldn't go amiss.......they gave Sunderland two Yesterday why not us.

When do tickets go on general sale for non members and how restricted is the view from remaining seats? Still considering it.

There are still a few hundred left for non members. Don't know how bad/good the restricted view seat's will be? The ground is a dump..

Yesterday there was supposed to be a few hundred tickets left. Once sold then the restricted view tickets which are several hundred more were meant to go on sale. I believe the restricted view is that you have to look sideways 180 degrees to see the pitch. Apparently most people stand. These tickets may have gone by now. The biggest single complaint regarding Argyle and the sale of tickets was the lack of communication. Typically Argyle were crap at this and told people nothing until pushed into a corner screaming. Heard that before? Yep similar to the Wembley fiasco and every other big game it is ever involved with. PR is non existant.

You say that Sensible but I was very clear before Xmas what the programme was from the information given on the PAFC website.

Online to members first, 1 ticket each, then at the ticket office to members and, from 30th Dec I think, whatever was left to non-members, subject to proof of previous matches attended.

In fact, I posted on this forum on 24 December moaning about the fine print of the arrangements which meant I couldn't buy a ticket for my daughter's boyfriend.

It was a big mistake selling Liverpool tickets on the day of the Wycombe game but other than that, all was clear.

If only it were that simple notdistant. Yes how to get a ticket was publicised. However, the same difficulties in getting one online or by phone etc. were very much the same as with Wembley. Some got it easy and others had all manner of problems and found it hard to sort that out. Read pasoti and the 70 pages mostly complaining. Then came the release of tickets in better parts of the grounds which were kept back when most ticket buyers were the Season Ticket holders. A number got sub standard seats to the ones they had hoped for. Despite the very high number of complaints on pasoti which the club must have known about, it is the biggest web site for fans after all and there is no way it isn't looked at by the club, they said nothing at first. It is always the same. They get shamed into making some statement when it is far too late. They had the same for Wembley and learned nothing. That is the person who is responsible for running the commercial side rather than Brent himself. But it is his club................

I had no problems with Wembley tickets. Will be watching this on TV since we couldn't get the 4th ticket so can't comment on the detail.

I did. My email address was out of date. I hadn't thought to update it because they never emailed me anyway and I didn't think it was necessary. Actually I didn't even think of it at all. When I came to get my tickets online it kept telling me I didn't have the correct rights to do it. I contacted Argyle and eventually spoke to a woman who pointed out my email address was wrong. I told her I had since retired and the email address was my old works one. It basically no longer existed. Not to worry she said I will put it back to square one and you will be fine. Guess what. Oh no I wasn't (as it's still pantomime season). In the end I got my mate to do it on his season ticket and paid him the money. The problem this time for most it seems is the same one. Email addresses not right and being told they can't get a ticket online as they don't have the rights. Phone line to Argyle almost impossible to get through on if at all. No info from the club despite pages and pages of complaints. Eventually they issue a statement. They should have done something to put this right before now and re=affirming email addresses would have been a good idea considering the problems before when getting a season ticket for this season. One bit of paper is all it would have taken. Argyle have about as much idea of customer care as this Government have on how to do Brexit. Mind you most football clubs are probably the same. They know we will come back.

We've been over this before: computers aren't mind readers, they can't know you've changed email addresses. I get an email a week from PAFC trying to sell me stuff.

You missed the point notdistant. My issue was I contacted the club to sort it out. Was told it would be ok and it wasn't despite me spending a load of time on the phone. This happened to quite a few. Now not the clubs fault I had retired but it was their fault that they couldn't do something quite simple I am told and sort it out once I had told them it was wrong. They were infact useless. After that debacle they culd have done something at renewal. They didn't even try.

Seems like it is now officially a 'sell out' though I have no idea if that includes the seats you cant see any football from. Starting to get a bit worried that I wont have a very good view but hey ho, that will teach me to be a season ticket holder and buy online tickets without any problems whatsoever within 10 mins of them going on sale....:undecided::eek:

    Stop moaning lyndhurst.<doh>..........strewth....some people.

Me and gang were talking about the can't see seats a few days back. The answer apparently is that everyone stands up anyway so which way your seat points is irrelevant.

What! I've paid for a seat and am damned well sitting in it.. In all seriousness, its not too bad for me at almost 5'10" -no2 is a bit of a throw back and only 5'6" (plus hair) so might struggle-not sure what happened but No 1 son is a strapping 6'2"

That's an average of 5' 11" so can't see any problem with that.
