Been a good weekend for the minnows hasn't it. Millwall deserved their win earlier today from what I saw and good on Sutton following Lincoln's lead. Makes the cup more worthwhile and might make the "bigger" boys think next time with their reserves.
I expect the bigger teams will complain that they are not getting enough money to run a competitive second string......
I see Carlisle have lost their top striker Charlie Wyke to Bradford.....he had scored 17 times in 34 starts.....so that might slow them down a shade.
Two job interviews/meetings tomorrow, London buses springs to mind. One I am really keen to do, but not sure if there is an actual job there(meeting at their request); the other I am not so keen on but will pay the bills/uni fees! ho hum, onwards...
Good luck Lyndy..You will be on the buses?? Had some good news today.. Put house on the market .. sold within an hour to a cash buyer.. Now we need to find a place.. nothing out there we like.. as need to find a suitable place to convert with a poorly son.. Thought it would be months before it sold, it never even went live on the internet
Best of luck Blakey and give Olive my regards. That was quick Joe. Sounds like you weren't asking enough in the first place.
well sensible i thought it was overpriced .. they did say it would sell as there is not a lot on that price range for sale this side of town !! guess they were correct! now got to look around! nothing to see yet . lyndy will be driving g you around on the buses now??
Yes I expect seven figure mansions are limited in Plymouth Joe.....are you looking for one with a moat and keep with tourism in mind this time ?
No, no buses. First interview of the day done-absolutely nails interview with the NHS. 4 women; three very pleasant, 1 dragon. 10 minute presentation followed by an hour's grilling- don't think I have a chance of landing that one. A more 'interesting' opportunity in a couple of hours.
Plym, i doubt i will find a property in Plymouth, viewed a few today.. Terrible.. so further a fied now, next stop torquay.. few to look at looking out over thatchers rock
Yes , very well thanks. Just me and the interviewer. Essentially I was offered a rather good job (and not what I thought we would be discussing) providing the company and me can overcome a couple of minor hurdles. Won't start until the summer though. Worth the wait, and I might just enjoy the rest of the winter and spring without worrying about job hunting. Can't say anything more until/if it is confirmed-a bit like waiting for a few planets to align!
Well done, that is pleasing for you if it all comes off. You will then be paying to keep Sensible? Congratulations, welcome back to work..
Don't start till the summer????? Don't tell me you're the new Guard on the Gus Honeybun train at West Hoe Park......
Err no, but I might give some thought to that if the offer doesn't come to fruition. Am hatching a plan with the company to go in part time/voluntary to ease the transition to when/if the permanent position is available, so I might not have the entire spring off.
Joe, are you still short of a gas engineer? My ex work colleague has just qualified (passed his final practicals last week)-happy to vouch for his personality and him being a person of good standing but no idea what his engineering skills are like. Also I have no idea of his availability; if you are interested PM me some contact details and I will forward them to him?
Lyndy, Will check on Monday as we have just got one for the torbay area and one in cornwall. Does he like travelling? I may send you some details as he could call us and see what He has done.. We do need someone but experienced on some work we have and its not local? Dorset, Bournmouth.. i will send over the office number by PM
Cheers Joe, have just spoke to him and passed your numbers on. He will probably give you a ring early next week.
