Where did I make out he was barely a footballer? Are you sure you're not thinking of Everton fans and Niasse? I did actually say id be absolutely ****ing delighted if he proves me wrong, but everyone ignores that bit.
What I have seen of Ranocchia so far he looks an accomplished centre back. He has had a tough time in Italy and his confidence was shot, so a move to another league and a coach that can press his right buttons looks to have reenergised him. Plus to have a centre back that can put a ball over the top for Niasse goal against Liverpool has to be applauded.
Yeah, totally. How else am I supposed to judge him other than the 100 plus games I've seen him play, several of which were in the flesh? He WAS ****ing woeful for Inter and it wasn't as if it was one manager - he was appalling for all of them. But a point I also made was if Silva can get him performing like he never has before - which isn't unheard of, Cambridge fans laughed when we signed a certain Ian Ashbee - then he's a genius. I'll still argue that he really wasn't good vs Arsenal though
Go on then, find the post where I said "he's barely a footballer" and whatever you do make sure you don't find the one where I said "I'll be absolutely ****ing delighted if he proves me wrong".
To be fair, you did describe him as 'McShane without the commitment' and 'He has an error in him - a big one - in every single second of the match and you'll never rest easy when the ball goes near him'. Though you did indeed say that you hoped he proved you wrong.
Well it doesn't does it, when the footballer I used as a reference spent the majority of his career in the top flight of English football.
Breaking news - bummers returns to his excruciatingly anal way of defending what he said by saying the exact words used were not the same as his.
Give it a few more posts bummers you'll be saying "I told you all he would be really good, tell me where I said he wouldn't be"
