Well, what could possibly go wrong with this one? A great deal unfortunately. On the form front Luton's form over the last 10 matches has been much the same as our's with the exception that they have drawn one more and we have lost one more. Nothing much in recent form either.

Luton sit 4th currently so this is going to be a big one for us. I read a comment on pasoti from a Doncaster supporter who was visiting the site. He said Luton were a "physical" side. I'm not sure if we do better against sides like that or we need to be playing one that goes for it. After the game against Leyton Orient we should be getting used to a bit of physical, or rather being kicked off the pitch, but I don't think we battle that way. Whilst not a defining game for the season we culd do with getting something out of it and the teams around all have reasonable chances of gaining ground. Fingers crossed I think and hope it's a footballing battle rather than a war.

Be perfectly happy with a scruffy draw tbh. 3 homes games in a week coming up and I expect they will define if we have a comfortably last dozen games or whether it will be 'squeeky bum' time. One thing is for sure, it is down to the players to see us over the line. Dont think excuses about budget, squad size, injuries etc will wash this time.

Said it ages ago lyndhurst, if it goes wrong again then I genuinely believe a number will re-evaluate spending hard cash at Home Park. I will go because it's my Saturday out in winter but I suspect a fair few may not.

I'd take a point if offered right now if I'm honest.

We're currently a strong second in the league and have been in the top 3 all season apart from the first few weeks when a new squad made a slow start. Transfer dealings in January have made us stronger, with Taylor, Kennedy and Sarevic a step up on what we've had before. What would the potentially fickle fans expect? Wayne Rooney on loan?

It's down to the players to perform to their ability in the last few games, particularly when the chips are down against Luton, Carlisle, Portsmouth and Doncaster. We had enough of the game to beat Orient despite their violence of their game. We could have been 3-0 up against Hartlepool in the first 20 mins but weren't. We are good enough IF we perform to our potential.

Actually, I think we do better against sides that come at us, If we push forward, we get caught short at the back, whereas if we sit back and attack on the break, we do better. Hopefully that bodes well against the better sides......

Wasn't suggesting we wouldn't make it folks just pointing out that the supporters might be less forgiving if we bottle it this time having flattered to deceive twice already. I think this squad can do it and it is stronger than the previous.

Some neo-criminal tackling from Luton by all accounts. Beginning to become a trend.

One each at halftime. Probably most would take that having gone behind. Sounds "robust" and my missus tells me Adams had a word with the Ref on the way off.

FFS Fox off injured after a GBH tackle just before half time. Sokalik on - where's he going to play? 3 at the back?

Ah, I hadn't spotted Songo'o was in the back four - now goes to midfield where hoefully he'll bite some legs.

I think a point was a reasonable return from this one as long as we go all out and follow it up with a couple of decent wins to come. Commentators on the radio seemed to think Luton kicked their way to the point they got and were not impressed with the physical. A Donnie follower said on pasoti yesterday that Luton were a tough bunch and liked to give it out. Don't think Adams was impressed with them though as he had a word with the Ref on the way off at half time. From what I could see their thuggery was aimed at our playmakers. They got one of them in Fox who had to go off. Onwards to Tuesday then.

Seems like they'll be counting the bruises on the trip home.

Exactly what they did at Fratton Park recently, when the rotweiller Cameron McGeehan broke his own leg after attempting twice to break Michael Doyle's leg in a series of vicious fouls. It was like their revolting manager Nathan Jones feeds them with raw meat before the game. Hope they drop out of the play offs.

It seems a theme I know Wooperts but another soft Refereee. Maybe these managers have sussed out that the Referees are weak in league 2 and they are doing what they can get away with. Last season we saw a fair bit of laying around on the ground clutching any part of the body that was available. Preference to the head if a stoppage was required. It was very frustrating and there were a number of teams that used it as a tactic. This season seems to have moved on from that a bit and now it's kick anything that moves. I thought it would have been a pity if any of last season's lay down teams won anything and I think it will be a shame this season if any of the boot boys win also. A bit of physical is ok and is part of the game but some of it has been nasty. Reminder of the old 70's outfits. Old Chopper and Vinnie and Norman et al.

Just seen Oscar Threlkeld heading the ball away from the boot of a Luton player who surely was on the verge of scoring.....surely an act beyond the call of duty....he is heading for being the player of the season without doubt.
