True but remember they used to attract the likes of Ravenelli Juninho Karembeu.

Let's hope for the latter cos it's either us or them. The bottom 3 will almost certainly be Sunderland, us or Boro and 1 of Burnley, Bournemouth or - much less likely - Palace.

Swansea, Lester and Watford are safe in my eyes.

Palace are far more likely to go down than Burnley or Bournemouth unless you're expecting them to pick up a lot of points against the top six teams.

Obviously I am, just like we did recently. I'm also expecting Bournemouth and Burnley to lose a lot.

IF I could select any three from that as to who I'd prefer to drop, I'd go for:

    Burnley (find them aggravating)
Bournemouth (find them irritating - the manager gets on my wick too)
Then can't decide between boro and Palace

If we stay up, I'd rather have Sunlun stay up (wouldn't seem the same without being in a relegation battle with them) and I'm just too indifferent to Watford - they could cease and I'd probably not notice.

Good luck with that one, but I can't see the best teams in the country being that generous at the business end of the season.

I'd love it if they went for Ranieri and he helped them put the Leicester snakes down*.

*This anticipated satisfaction is obviously in no way connected to my preseason bet on Leicester to get relegated, or my treble relegation bet for Sunderland/Palace/Leicester

Burnley are no danger of going down.

They haven't won in 6 games (if you include losing to Lincoln) and they haven't reached 40 points yet.
    Must try harder.

Skip to post #61 if you wish to avoid a typical non-debate.
    Edit: It's now post # 63 <laugh>

They're on 31 points. They have 10 games to win two games to be safe, they don't need 40 points.

I feel like your modus operandi these days is to follow me around critiquing my posts childishly.

FFS. Is it a demotion to be called childish rather than illiterate ?
No-one else's opinion seems to have any merit without you insulting them.

Your final line seemed to be mocking an exchange from the other day that you dropped out of when shown up. Don't think I've insulted too many people's opinions, even in this exchange.

If you're referring to the stats you provided about "not trying", I'll wonder if you reviewed thefinal results of Stoke, Palace and WBA fixtures over the 9 seasons (post 40 pointsattained) you referenced. many of those final matches were played against teams fighting for their lives against relegation, or fighting to gain European competition places, the lack of trying may well be argued against.
I don't believe I was shown up at all (other than the stats themselves being correct). The points they gained in those games they contested may well be down to the oppositions efforts.
As I've said before,,,you need to have the last word. Outlandish statements with naive conclusions.
Calling someone childish btw is insulting. I'm refuting your opinions.
    In my opinion.

As I pointed out, just having looked at last season, they won 3/4 against top four challengers or teams fighting for their lives, then failed to win in their final 9 against middle of the road teams.

My 'insult' was not against your opinion on something, but instead on your behaviour towards me, which I find increasingly annoying as it seems to be a daily occurrence now. It is childish. If you actually want to engage in a discussion, fine, but within a few posts you consistently and predictably become worked up and personal, such as yesterday in your questioning of my Pulis stat.

    This is incredible.
Attached to your stats post was a comment something like , and I paraphrase: "perhaps it's too strong to suggest they were not trying".
Was that not a barb towards me ?
Today, this exchange, pointing out Burnley's last 6 results...given their remaining fixtures (4 against relegation plagued teams that potentially could overtake them, plus Burnley's away record), how was I worked up or personal ?

Not sure how that's a barb at all? If anything I was conceding that I'd gone too strong to say that they stop trying.

Your first response today included "Must try harder" as the final line which was a clear reference to the aforementioned discussion, don't play coy.

    You really are ridiculous.

    (1) Why do I not believe this statement ?
    (2) Tit for tat...may be childish !
    (3) Is that a term of endearment ?
If anyone in these exchanges is prone to insults...just remember "illiterate" comment.
I see Ibrahim0vic failed to score again :emoticon-0105-wink: Childish again.

I'll give up boring the rest of the board now. Mind you, they're all asleep I suspect.
