TLDR: The scheme is ace because attendances are good, but the WU needs closing because attendances are bad.
A full stadium will help the team perform like what we had before you and your rancid old man showed up you 2 bob ****.
Prices are better than this year overall by the looks of it. No concessions obviously remains the biggest issue, and they're still completely missing out on the supposed benefit of not having to do this annual admin, since they're still doing the annual admin.
If we stay up (hmmmm), not having the west upper open is a disgrace. It shows how bad things are. If we go down they may as well shut one of the other stands as it will be embarrassing. I can see apathy and abstaining as the new "membership club'.
I doubt I'll get another season ticket even if they **** off. I don't really care anymore either way.
Will they really introduce rewards this time? Last season on the brochure they advertised: - Loyalty points scheme - Monthly Prize Draws - Member only events - Earn points on attendance to games - Points back on retail and concourse purchases - Extra benefits & rewards - You can keep a watchful eye on how many points you’ve collected with your monthly email update, with a number of further benefits being made available to supporters at the start of the next campaign, based on the number of loyalty points you’ve accumulated. - It was also mentioned that cup games could be loaded onto your card… never happened. None of it happened. I did contact citizens advice about this and they forwarded it to trading standards as 'misselling is against the law'. Maybe we should all bring it to their attention that they missold our passes and request refunds...
So is the Upper West now permanently closed ? Is the official capacity now sub 20000 ?? If we stay up is it closed for the usual guaranteed sell outs like Man U, Liverpool etc ??
As a member of the old "founders club" I was originally promised no price rise when the scheme was introduced - the club then backtracked on this and increased my annual payment by about £120.00 (possibly more but I really can't remember!). The current renewal notice points out that this was only a concession for the first year of the scheme and my annual amount payable is increasing by a further £126 from June. Closing the West Upper is indicative of the owners' complete lack of ambition for the club.
West stand upper closing officially ends my taking the piss out of my Hull FC mates , that was my ace card
