To be fair I was in the Directors' box, but there was plenty that we can learn about their customer service skills....

You always mistake me for Woopert, sensible. In fairness, the ref did seem a lot better in the second half. First half every 50/50 challenge seemed to go your way.

Sitting on the brink of promotion out of this awful league, I can't say I'm terribly bothered about it, but when you see how we played in the first 15 minutes, you see the full capability of this team. Lyndhurst and Sensible who attend every week will confirm it was no flash in the pan: we have spells like that in pretty much every game. Dropping deep is a deliberate Adams tactic not just an inability to go forward. It's given us a great away record but it frustrates the home fans at times and hasn't yielded the same excellent results at Home Park.

I'm wondering how we'll go next season. More of the same I expect but I wonder how it will play out with the home fans if we're not in the top 10.

Sorry Wooperts.......erm I mean PompeyLapras you all look the same to me <diva>.

I think Adams does do the sitting back thing in every game unless we go behind first. What annoys fans is he does it at home as well as away. With away games the onus is generally on the home side to come out and try to win the game. Sitting back and counter attacking is a good ploy and it has worked really well. But, doing it at home isn't quite the same thing. We are the home side who are expected to go out to win the game or take the game to the opposition. Away sides are not as attacking so they don't play ball. When we can't do counter attacking our players sometimes run out of ideas prabably due to their training. We go one down and it's sometimes too late to change. I think we will do exactly the same next season and I'm not sure anyone will kick off too much if we are doing well. I would not expect us to charge through league one by any stretch of the imagination. I would hope for another period of improvement year on year though. Championship in 5 years would I believe be acceptable to the majority.

Yep, its is a difficult balance between success and entertainment. I think DA (and everyone else at the club) would take success over entertainment every time until we get to the Championship and i would like to think that might be in less than 5 years. Once in the Championship (where I think we should be) then it is probably important to provide entertainment as well, though for a pop at the 'promised land' I would take a dull 1-0 win every week. Notwithstanding what the stats might show, it just feels like we have really struggled at home this season.....(we will be fine on Monday!)

He is a really nice chap-no need to soften him up.
