What is it like as a venue for bands ? What extra do you get for VIP tickets ?

I don't think any have played there yet, have they?

I think the VIP tickets get you access to a bar and a bog, so you don't don't have to mingle with the riff-raff and use a Portaloo.

Ah you could be right, but Mrs Tash will be with me. Apparently toilet quality is important!

The proms will be playing Handels water music, hence the waterside setting.
They did it on boats floating down the Thames too.
Quite a scoop for Hull, first time they have played outside of London for 75 years.
Not my cup of tea at all, but hope people enjoy it.

King of soho. Excellent. I had it last time too.

I'm struggling to remember names. I'll ask the mrs later, remember an absolutely foul one I had. Dutch I think, black tomatoes in it, loads of basil and rosemary awful.

Just having a larios now on the terrace

Last night I had a few tanquerays, in this Italian cafe bar, which is always good.

I picked up a bottle of Tenerifian gin at the airport yesterday, Chazz. Macaronesian White. In an earthenware bottle. About €20. Haven't tried it yet. I'll keep you posted.

I was also drinking some Estrella Galicia 1906. Strong malty beer. Nice drink, I was a bit rough this morning.

I like tanqueray. But, much as I like trying different gins when making a long drink with gin I like Beefeater as much as anything. The only gin I don't like is Gordon's. Strange as when I started drinking 50 years ago it was always considered the premium gin in a pub. You either asked for a gin and tonic or specified a Gordon's and tonic.
