You're right John, must be Mike Williams. Maurice Swan was much broader in stature & face.
The photo above is in Chris Chilton's biography ( 63/64 - no names attached), but there's also a named team photo from 65/66 with Swan identified.
    Deffo Williams.
Not sure I was correct using Charlie Crickmore - he's not in the squad list in your attached link. Come to think about it, Charlie moved on end of '61 & replaced by John McSeveny on LW.

Well done Mazzer - that's perfect. Good spot Eric McMillan - I'd completely forgotten what he looked like.
    Can't believe I didn't recognize Billy Wilkinson...old age and all that !

If I remember correctly we had a goalkeeper called Les Green around this time but he was short of stature compared to other goalies. However, he went on to play for Derby County when Clough/Taylor were in charge I think. Charlie Crickmore was transferred to Norwich City and I was at Carrow Road to see him play a blinder against us, by the way he lived down Havelock St at one time.

Paul Feasey was bricklayer in later years and I used to see Les Collinson visiting his mother down Clyde St Hawthorn Ave.

Charlie came back to the Hull area and worked as a fireman, he also played football for the Fire Brigade and was a local referee.
Gerry Summers was opening bat for Hull CC.

    FACTOID
Bertie Ahern, former Irish Taoiseach, was a close friend of Maurice Swan.
They went to school together in Dublin.
As a result Bertie has been a closet City fan since the sixties.
Bertie's daughter, Celia, is a best selling author of chick-lit.

This has to be up there as one of City's greatest goalkeeping performances.

One of the last games I watched with my old man before he passed away.

He'd been a keeper in his time: on the books at Notts County and played for Brid. Trinity for many years. He was a harsh critic of keepers and I remember arguing with him throughout this game as he repeatedly criticised Boaz for not commanding his area, for not instilling confidence in his defenders and for slow distribution. Yes you daft bugger, I said, but without him we'd have been slaughtered!

    Happy memories.

    Thanks for posting.

Didn't realise Brid Trinity finished in the early nineties, I played against them once in a cup game I seem to remember, I think it was in the sixties.

I think Castro will know more. But ken Richardson forced them out of queensgate, upped the rent, so they had to fold. A tosser of a man.

Didn't realise that, as you say a bit of a tosser.

Hull City of England! Short, snappy, unique; internationally recognisable - a brand I know that we would all get behind.

Also we could do with a player like that Billy Hurst upfront for us now. Cultured, refined, demure, if a little lightweight, as I remember him.
