I have just come back from a mini holiday up in your part of the world. We stayed at Hunstanton and drove round to Heacham, Blakeney, Cley, Stiffkey, Salthouse, Wells, Sheringham and down to Fakenham, Just one word describes my experience of the North Norfolk Coast - Stunning!
Erm, there's an Edwardian seaside gem that you appear to have omitted from your (impressive) list squire. You may have heard of it, it has a pier and catches the best crabs in the UK please log in to view this image
Haha Yes I do visit that place you mention a lot when I am up there but we simply ran out of time! The vast deserted beaches are just awesome especially at Blakeney and Salthouse. Nature at its amazing best!
Was in Cromer last Bank Holiday when it was a really hot day, best fish 'n' chips to be found are at Mary Jane's I actually prefer Sheringham though <donstinhatemoticon>
Now I know what you boys are up to when you're not posting on here....! https://www.theguardian.com/money/2...-as-dating-hotspot-in-regional-scam-standings
I agree JWM and I love the area around Heacham etc and I've fond a brilliant little B&B just a short from the beach at Heacham. I've only got the bit from Sheringham to East Runton and the bit to the East of that 'crabby' place to complete the North Norfolk Coast Path. I actually prefer No 1 fish and chips KIO and another good one is the one in Roughton.
At least I didn't put 2 p's between the 'r' and the 'y'. I quite like Cromer for a visit and if the weather stays this hot for the next few days, then I'm coming up there to get some cooler air for a while this week!!
If you like empty beaches JWM you should cross the salt marsh at Warham out to High Sand. At low tide you can look left and right for miles and out to the thin blue line on the horizon for more miles and I'll bet you won't see more than 3 people, sometimes only footprints. Best place in the world.
