Want to Livingston to see the lads last night. Hard to judge how good we will be come the real games but at least we won, and Lens goal was a cracker ... although the Livingston second half goalie was useless.
At least the lads were trying !!!!! There was commitment and thats a relief after last year. Kone looks, well, big but not entirely in the brains area. Galloway looks very young. You could hear Cattermole shouting and guiding the rest when he came on. We played some decent football second half.
However my lasting memory was how bad the pies were !!!

What was your impression of the defence, did they look well organised?

Difficult to say. Though even a poor team like Livingston were able to stretch them at times but no serious shots on target. A bad start with a hoofed ball down the middle and their winger shot just wide (maybe could be argued it was actually saved !!). Galloway looked very much a young unfinished article. No midfield again I thought, and no forward although gooch did reasonably well. Kazhri tried and had some great moves, his goal was poor defending and poor goal keeping really but he took it well.
Defensively I was unconvinced ! Second half we were better all round though in my opinion.
They ran as though they meant it, and that was pleasing.

At least they're putting the effort in now, couldn't say that last season. Good to hear your view, the SAFC site text commentary makes it sound like everything we do is world class.

I was going to attend this game if I hadn't been called into work last minute to cover sickness.
