Sorry Plym but I was there and that isn't quite how it was. I can assure you that we could have gone in 3 - 3 at half time. That's despite the dominance of Charlton for the first 20 minutes or so. We didn't ride our luck. Luke pulled off a great double save which is why we employ him. Edwards defended on the goal line which is why we employ him. Stop putting Argyle down and give them some credit for a change. We were by far the better side in the second half even though Charlton weren't bad. We scored 2 goals and they scored none. It wasn't luck. Also as a matter of record we are more than capable of coming from behind as last season proved very well at times. No team would do that every time but we do it as much as anyone else. How long were your video highlights? Not 90 minutes worth I'd say. Argyle were well worth their win and it was no fluke. They did very well thank you and it wasn't that hard to judge I can assure you.

I just watched the Video Highlights... what a good game of football...good on Argyle for scoring the goals against Charlton who were a very good team.

OK sensible I have to capitulate to you being there and me just reading and viewing whatever videos I come across....glad that they were the better side.....some of the Charlton comments about their abysmal finishing....must of been through red tinted glasses.....that 6-1 friendly win against Ipswich must of used up their quota of goals.

Next is the mighty Chelsea....although not much is being said that it is only their youngsters....I expect that doesn't help to sell tickets for this Checkamate competition that no one wants to watch.

Definitely not lucky although we could have lost it. An evenly balanced game in which we took 2 chances and they didn't.

The highlights don't show the bits where we had 2, 3, 4 shots blocked in quick succession when they couldn't clear their lines. It doesn't show the low cross that Grant fired across the 6 yard box that probably went out for a throw on the far side but only needed the slightest touch from defender or attacker to go in.

We weren't necessarily the better side plym and I haven't pretended we were. It simply wasn't lucky and in the end we deserved the points. Charlton couldn't finish anymore than we could at times either. The chances on both sides that went begging were many. As notdistant says we took 2 of our's and they didn't take any. We were outplayed generally in the first half on balance and in the second we were best by far. It's how it was and highlights don't do games justice. We have to learn to lose the Argyle low expectation. The last 3 seasons have been pretty decent and we have won more than we have lost. We can and hopefully will hold our own in league one and need fear nobody in particular.

And the good thing is that I suspect we were better in the second because Adams sorted it out, Gone are the days when we were always crap in the second half because the opposition manager was smarter than ours.
