Allowing in the Prem to our competition..............wot could possibly go wrong.

I have nothing further to add to this. I will not be there.

I assume Derek Adams will shuffle his pack for this game against Chelsea boys......Jamie Ness will probably add to his 7 seconds of total playing time.....he didn't do nowt wrong...no misplaced passes....no missed tackles....no wrong decisions....didn't even need to put his kit into the laundry bag.
The thinking seems to be that because he came on he will count as having played in the previous match.... regarding players who need to have been involved in the match before rules. It would be nice to see what he has to bring to the squad and this match would help to gain him match fitness as well. I doubt that Adams will be so gung-ho with nine changes for this one after the debacle of last weeks mid-week game.

You are welcome to it BC. Infact if you can get over here in time I'll buy you a seat and then meet you in the bar after and buy you a beer as well. Not only that a pasty might be on the menu. One thing I won't do though is see you in the ground. I almost went into MeatLoaf mode then and just for the record I won't do that.

I love that our match is starting earlier (7 instead of 7.45) - can't keep the little dears up too late now can we :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I'm trying to decide whether to go and watch Torquay or not...

I wonder if Derek Adams is looking for some business with Chelsea tonight....the chance of a young striker maybe ?

The attendance of this match is embarrassingly high. I'd be mortified if it were Portsmouth. I'm sorry that some people apparently are happy to see Plymouth as nothing more than training opposition for Premier League kids. Your side is worth so much more than that.

It's the little sods that parade around the town in PL shirts I'm afraid.

The club are getting a roasting on Twitter from genuine fans for promoting this tripe.

Buy an adult ticket and take a complete school of kids free or something similar. (might have exagerated a wee bit there) I too am surprised at the numbers and was hoping for a thousand or less. I will bet that there are a load of kids there with mum or dad. It's the school holidays, they kicked off early and it's cheap comparitively. In other words the club has bought the crowd to make it look better.

A disgraceful 3.900 odd. How many paid us a different thing. Lyndhurst closed so all in the Demport to make it look full.

Resist the Dark Side Luke. This is not worthy of our attention.

well it was a thoroughly enjoyable game of football between two decent sides. Valuable 45 mins for Jamie Ness who is a class act- some great passes and he likes a tackle. Also great to see Alex Fletcher play 90 mins and bag a quality brace. Chelsea may well have had some stars of the future playing. Lyndhurst stand closed to reduce stewarding and other staff costs-no other reason. Yes there were a load of kids there-deliberate ploy to try and capture the imagination of the next generation-lets hope it worked; hence the reduced prices and pre match stuff outside the Devonport End. . Good to see a couple of hundred in the away end as well. Whether you believe in conspiracy theories or not (I don't) it was a good event and a competition that the club has to enter, so we were duty bound to make the most we could of it, and we did.

Thats the rules.....so we get 1 point for the draw and an additional point for winning the pen shootout. I actually think it is quite a good format rather than the old, tired Leyland Daff Jonsons paint trophy thingy.

It's a personal choice lyndhurst whether as a customer I want to see premiership clubs being foisted on the football league by the powers that be or to not go as my own protest. I choose not to attend this and you know why so I won't bore anyone with a repeat. I don't wish any misfortune to my club and I still don't like them to lose any game whether I approve of the opposition or not. If this wasn't a competition with a protest going on then I don't for one minute believe the club would have given away entry to anyone let alone a load of kids. What they have done, in my opinion, is try to fill up as much of the ground as possible. Whilst introducing possible future customers at the same time I accept. I don't blame them for that and it would not make sense to have done otherwise. Giving a run out to fringe players in a competetive match is also not a bad thing but I cannot get excited about the result or how well they played or didn't. I personally don't want Argyle to continue in this cup even if I don't want them to lose as said. Lets say I won't be too upset if they leave it in round one.

So you're happy with Plymouth being nothing more than training opposition for Chelsea's kids? You're happy with Premier League clubs bullying clubs in League 1 and 2 to get their own way? You're happy with your club just existing to train up players being hoarded by Chelsea? Disgrace.

Absolutely it is a personal choice, and I will always respect that, and I also have a slightly different perspective on things these days. Non attendance at these matches or the so called boycott will make absolutely no difference to whether prem junior teams are eventually admitted to EFL League 3 or 4. I still don't think that there is any hidden agenda and I don't think there is much appetite from the prem to enter B teams lower down the pyramid. The previous versions of the trophy hardly created much interest , so for me it is an attempt at a refresh, and if works then that is fine by me.
