Curious that they all use the same terminology hmmmm http://www.skysports.com/football/n...uit-of-manchester-city-winger-patrick-roberts https://talksport.com/football/celt...ded-manchester-city-travelling-squad-training http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...c-suffer-blow-hopes-signing-Roberts-loan.html http://sport.bt.com/football/celtic-suffer-blow-to-hopes-of-patrick-roberts-return-S11364203864327 Seems the SMS are ****ting it at the thought of Pat's return. Have they managed to unsettle Jamie Walker enough yet?
When Rangers said they had a new scouting dept, I didn't think they meant the football writers at the Daily Record! Why is that nasty wee club, Hearts, not allowing all their players to go to Ibrox? have they not read the script? Mind that time they made Levein the Scotland manager? Sure you do, it was at the same time he was railing against the establishment. Craig had to be silenced. Mike McCurry never forgave him.
Sum peepul wul no ba pleesed ... http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40921922 (Oops meant to post under 'Pointless ...' but I suppose it might just fit under 'bollocks' here!)
Surely the final decision is his so, if he really wanted to stay, he could have told his reps to sort it out immediately & could have signed by now? I really he hope does though ... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-boss-brendan-rodgers-hits-10994114
Medals and glory v money. Another to add to the long list of "I should never have left Celtic" players? Apparently he has a brain, he should get cracking on putting it to good use. Samara once said "I would rather have a lot of medals, at the end of my career, rather than a big bank balance" always loved him for saying that. **** the Champions League!
Dembele to West Ham? As a hammer I'd love this to be true and, as a hammer, I know it isn't. But you think he'll be off somewhere before the window closes, or stay until you are out of CL? I don't think he'll stay that long tbh, as Scots football isn't what it was, the lack of money has killed it. It's a shame everyone is so against merging the mainland leagues into 1, Celtic deserve better opposition, and who wouldn't like seeing Rangers stuffed by Huddersfield.
I know he's not likely to get a game for us with the Griff ahead of him but I'm sure he could do better than West Ham.
I think he will have another season at celtic . Who knows after that. Tend to think it will be a champions league club though rather than someone like west ham.
And the hits just keep coming https://stv.tv/sport/football/1395977-patrick-roberts-set-to-sign-for-celtic-next-week/ I'm guessing a large majority won't be feeling the love today. GIRFUY!
oh, without doubt he probably could do better than West Ham, but it's the showcase league and he'd get games with us, together with a very large pay-packet. I didn't think we'd get Carroll or Payet either, I thought it was the usual "we're in for a big player", followed by "we tried, but thanks for buying season tickets in hope" which seem sto be the case most of the time with us these days. As for Celtic's chances in the CL, it would be nice to think someone could do a 'Leicester' in the CL, because that's what you are compared to RM, Barca, Juventus Bayern, Man U etc., but I don't think it'll happen any time soon, you just don't have the available funds to compete at that level now (not that that stopped Rangers trying). who knows in the future though, if football really takes hold in the US I could see the 'Irish' support in the US helping to overcome that imbalance.
My guess is, the clubs that had a look, didn't really float Stuart 's boat. When weighed against playing for us (and the best football of your career), and in the champions league, maybe the delights of playing for Bournemouth or Watford don't quite match up plus, in a year's time, Stuart might get the move he wants, but we'll still get a big bag of money. Still think it would need to be a considerably better caliber team than those I mention, for Stuart to be tempted. He is also still doing summit in education I believe...maybe that isn't finished?
He's studying law I believe. I hope that he's the type of lad who puts success before money which appears to be the case here. If he is planning for a career in law it looks unlikely that he will be chasing money by moving to England. What would be the benefit? If he plans to become rich why would he want to be in law. That's what I hope anyway.
Cat in hell's chance? http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/08/20/report-burnley-lining-up-10m-for-celtics-jozo-simunovic/
To replace Michael Keane (someone I've never heard of) who they sold for £16m to Everton. If it's true you have to admire their nerve.
