Let me tell you BC that if I came across a bunch of bears grilling something over flames them I would just say nothing at all and walk by. You can outright ban them if you like....<yikes>

Paying good money to watch 1 half of a premier match. Burnley v West Brom. (Why pay to watch that anyway..)

A 90-minute match but only 47 minutes and 40 seconds of actual football.

That was the scenario for fans at Turf Moor on Saturday, as Burnley and West Brom played out a game in which the ball was in play for only 160 seconds more than it was out of play.

That figure is the lowest in the league so far this season.

And it is also four minutes and 53 seconds less football than was seen on average in 2016-17 at Crystal Palace, the club whose fans saw less actual action (52 minutes and 33 seconds) than any other team.

This figure comes two months after football's lawmakers revealed they were considering scrapping 45-minute halves, instead introducing two periods of 30 minutes, during which the clock would be stopped every time the ball went out of play.

Those stats are shocking without actually being a surprise if you know what I mean. What it proves is the time wasters win every week and that officials have no idea about what extra time or added time is all about and what it's for. What should happen is there should be up to 10 to 15 minutes extra time per half. Doing otherwise is cheating the customers, that's you and me, out of any sort of value for money. Their answer? Well shorted the product by half an hour so we don't get cheated at all. It's priceless isn't it. They do this sort of thing in all matters these days. A mars bar is a very small snack these days whereas it used to be a right handfull and half a meal. Same applies to other things like a bag of crisps is about 50% less than it used to be. They now sell milk in litres rather than pints and so on. Everything is less but costs either the same or more. Solves inflation though doesn't it.

I watched the England Women's Rugby Team beat the French tonight on the tele. I'm getting a bit worried now because I've watched the England Team at Football previously and them win the World Cup Cricket tournament. Got to admit that they are certainly getting a lot better at these sports than a while ago. Not only getting better but boy do they put their hearts into it as well. All without the moaning crap you sometimes get in the men's game. Well football game anyway. The Rugby was a real good watch and some of the tackles they both put in were right crunchers to say the least. Made me wince for sure. Thoroughly entertaining and I will watch the final against New Zealand if I can that's for sure. <applause><applause><applause>

Ok you convince me...others might wonder if your dreaming of getting caught up in one of their scrums or lucky enough to get a good mauling.

I have just sat here and deleted 1700 plus old not606 emails. Not just once but twice as I had to get rid of them from my trash box as well. I had trouble getting into 606 twice and found this both times. I deleted over 700 the first time around. I think this is a throw back to the days when we used to get reply reminders if we posted on a topic. You had to tick some box or other to say you didn't want to be reminded if a reply was received. It disappeared quite a while back but because somebody had to fix the system it has resurfaced somehow. I hope it buggers off because I don't fancy having to do this over and over everytime I tune in to my emails.

Full time....Malta...0-4...England......3 goals in the last six minutes...made it look one sided.
Most entertaining thing was the band playing in the background......and the biggest cheer was for someone running on the pitch.

Good one Joe, I saw that on TV. Social media is the news now, maybe Trump knows than we think (which wouldn't be hard).

Southgate is reminding me of many failed ex-managers, putting so much stock in players like Hart who are replaceable with better options (I feel sorry for Butland and Heaton who are performing well but are going to have to warm the bench until we have crashed out of another tournament).

I still think we should be playing 4-4-2 with the below team:

    GK: Butland

DF: Walker, Keane, Jones, Bertrand (Rose when fit)

    MF: Sterling, Henderson, Alli, Chamberlain

ST: Kane, Vardy (or Welbeck, Defoe)

Personally my plan would be for a diamond to form in the attack with Alli pushing up behind the strikers with Sterling and Chamberlain advancing on the wings with Henderson hovering in the centre of the park to hold the midfield with wingbacks supporting.

At the moment we are playing too tightly (always trying to cut through the centre) and when playing defensive teams like Malta they can easily shut this down - you have to stretch them and play wide fast paced attacking football - You could even use Welbeck on the left wing as he has played there for Man Utd.

I am no expert though it works on Football Manager :emoticon-0105-wink:.

I felt Jones was the best player last night. Rashford made up for his costly error but I don't think he was the MotM (IMO).

watched both those games. Thought the display against Malta was dismal despite the final score and the one against Slovakia a better watch but mostly because of the opposition. Malta are a bit of a dirty side for me and I can see where they have players sent off and a worse disaplinary record than a lot. Slovakia can play a bit and we looked rocky at times. We don't have any world class players and it shows badly. Watched Spain take Italy apart as well. They would absolutely tonk us at the moment. The gulf is rediculously large.
