It was was a pretty dire game between two teams who obviously have some talented players. Some of the locals were saying it was their best performance of the season which must be worrying because they were the worst I have seen so far. Both teams had some chances; we missed ours, they hit the wood work and Luke pulled off 3 outstanding saves in the second half but may also have picked up an injury-hopefully it is just a bruise/dead leg. 500& Argyle fans which was outstanding. Bury very hospitable and I could tell I was back ooop north- pie chips and gravy for lunch! (+ 3 other courses). Any away point is always good, the match will fade in the memory very quickly, but it will be a confidence boost to keep a clean sheet and keep 11 on the pitch.

I neither listened to this or even followed it online either to see if a change of routine would bring a change of luck. By the look of the stats and the reports I've read the change in luck was mine. Sounds as if this was dire stuff. Apparently some of the views from the Bury faithful is that Argyle are the worst team they've seen for years. But, as pointed out it is a point in the right direction. We desperately need a change in fortunes as a result. I see elsewhere that heads are rolling already with Harry getting the elbow as one of them. Not going to happen at Argyle I know because Brent wouldn't want to have to open the purse to pay compensation. But revenue will fall as crowds drop off. I can't see some people wanting to go back to the old fight again and league 2.

I've been reading through all the match comments from elsewhere, being an ex-pat that's what you've got to do and the conclusion is that McCormick stopped us from losing 2 or 3 goals to nil.
Argyle were seen as poor against possibly the most mediocre team we have played so far. Two shots on target all match, literally no goal threat at all.

When will Taylor be fit to play and when will Threlkeld be back to strengthen one of our full back positions.

Bradley played well today which is great, but the thought goes through my head is was that because Edwards was banned....I feel these two are good central defenders but it seems they have some work to do to be compatable with each other, they seem to be to similar, if that's possible.

Posters pleased to have Sarcevic back from his red card, and they also felt that Ciftci played well although he isn't at his best as a lone striker....noticeable that when he went off and Fletcher came on we lost impetus up front.

Question marks against Lameiras not being up to Div 1 requirements and that he brought nothing to the game when he came on.

It is obvious that we miss our top earner and top man Carey...he is a marked man in this division, he needs to get to grips with his game when he returns because he has not really delivered yet this season...other than a convincing penalty.

OK red cards and injuries have thrown us off course and improvement should happen when all are fit, plus our red carded players have all returned.

Will McCormick be fit for the next game...if not should Letheren be given a chance because of his experience over the Dutchman.

Noticed a comment on one of the boards also that James Brent wasn't at the match...something about a fall-out with Hallett ?....could be just a bit of stirring going on.....there were motorway problems yesterday because of a bad fatal accident around the Gloucester area....probably stopped a few getting there....and difficulties getting home as well.

Better to play badly and get a point than everyone saying how good we looked and losing. It's a clean sheet away from home, Edwards is back next week and hopefully Threlkeld will be back in training.

The initial estimate for Taylor's return was Christmas and without Spencer, we don't have a like for like replacement which is affecting us I think.

If Brent and Hallett had fallen out, I wouldn't expect to see it appearing on ATD. Neither is it likely to manifest itself by Brent not turning up at a match like fall out over a kid's birthday party. Rumours abound, including why Graham Carey may not have his mind fully on football...

Or it could just be that the chairman had a family commitment relating to his son trying to decide on where he wants to go to uni.....? Rumours about Graham Carey are exactly that -why let the truth get in the way of a rubbish story....

Exactly. Sick of anti-Adams and anti-Brent Tweets after what they've done for the club over past few years. Nothing stays the same but so far a lot to be grateful for.

To be fair I've always been consistent as far as Brent is concerned. I'm not ungrateful but I cannot big him up to be a mesiah of any kind. He has done what he has done for Brent and not for the City of Plymouth or it's inhabitants. He has promised quite a lot in respect of building for the future, not the team, and he has delivered nothing so far with the latest offering watered down yet more. There is no guaratees that even this one will get off the ground either. He is never ever going to spend extra cash on the football bit and indeed he has never promised he would so no gripe there. I would like somebody else to come along with a more proactive approach to the football. Not to spend spend spend but to back it to at least some degree. Ain't going to happen anytime soon so stuck with Mr tight wallet which at least should mean we survive as a club at the very least.

Maybe he could of loosened the purse strings just a tad in regards us getting a striker recently.....I feel sure that Adams lost out because of not having the finance to tempt the right striker to come to Home Park.

But surely he did?.......I don't suppose a loan striker from Celtic (who once went for £1.8million) came cheap!

Maybe he did Lyndy.....but browsing some of the Scottish websites suggested to me that they would like to off-load him full time....even in Scotland there only successful domestic team cannot afford just to cancel his contract. Nadir Ciftci just needs his share of luck and he could come good...if we give him better service....he had success before, that's why Celtic coughed up £1.8 million for him.....our luck needs to change as well as Nadir's.

If our luck does not change soon we will be in the thick brown stuff and will find it hard to get out...

We need all the players fit and back in contention, then we can see how we or what we can do in this league.. It will not be easy.. We just need to all pull together and move up the table and stabilise as i am sure we are capable with the squad we have? :emoticon-0139-bow:

Lyndhurst, you and I both know that he isn't going to loosen any strings. He allows the Manager to spend within a budget and that's it. Investing something from his own pocket is what Plymborn meant as it isn't going to happen. I've already commented on that above so won't repeat.
