One of the scooters has a N reg which I think was 1975, as my old man had an M reg Ford Escort which was from 1974.

    Fair play and well spotted<ok>

I just did a lazy google image search of the mods and rockers Brighton 1960's as my old man was at this and it all kicked off apparently. My Dad was in the modernist camp and was a good friend of Roger Daltrey and John Entwistle. He used to roadie for the Who before they hit the big time and was in Brighton when this all kicked off<ok>

Amazing that it took 44 years before Australia finally apologised for their treatment of Peter Norman, six years after he died...

Was this Japan's most heinous war crime? How 800 British PoW's were locked up and left to drown when their prison ship was torpedoed
    • Lisbon Maru was hit by American torpedo while carrying 1,800 British prisoners
    • Boat took 24 hours to sink into the East China Sea from a hole blown in its stern
    • Japanese not only refused to rescue captives, but locked them in the hold
    • In total more than 800 died, one of the largest ever losses of British life at sea

Anyone remember this Fish & Chip shop? Located at the top of Old Oak Lane as you went into the East Acton one way system at Savoy Circus. Used to dine there on a regular basis did the best Rock Salmon ever. An old couple owned it and was a sit in shop where each piece of fish was cooked to order.....whatever happened to Rock Salmon?

That must be sixties, not enough men wearing hats.

I missed the great hat wearing era, and I appreciate a good titfer. I would have enjoyed the time of Kiwi’s picture at post #90. Well dressed gents, excellent.
