Disabled spaces should be renamed 'disabled and really ****ing lazy fat pieces of ****' spaces. The lazy fat ****s who abuse the spaces will look like fools then.
Far too easy to get a disabled ticket from the council tbh. They need to bring in a 'show me your lost limbs' policy really.
Yes. I agree one hundred percent. Architects are tossers now. They design things which are not practical, and when anything goes wrong they try to blame it on contractors. Although there are still some good ones out there. I will add in Engineering Consultants and their design. They love writing vague specs so when something goes wrong, they like to say "ah well that was the contractors design portion". For example say you have duct going out of a building they will be vague how that duct should be sealed. The contractor will ask how they want it sealed, and they will say "that is for you to decide". A fundamental portion of that design is the ****ing sealing of it you tosspot. Design it, spec it, grow a set of balls and stop hiding. There is risk management, and then there is being a complete slimey pussy who shirks responsibility.
As an Engineering Consultant I resent that remark!!! However, I would agree that there's far too much trying to pass the risk going on at the moment. A lot of it boils down to having insufficient time/money to get the designs right in the first place (clients trying to save cost) and a lack of decent Engineers across the board. Mainly down to lots of people leaving the industry due to recessions etc
Well I won't ask who you work for in case its the culprits I've dealt with a lot. However what I will say is these clients stop paying buttons to designers and consultants, maybe they'd be happy to do more visits and take more responsibility. Their fee is eaten up within a few visits. I'm frustrated with industry really
I actually work for a Contractor who decided to take design/survey/investigation works etc in house rather than sub contracting. So I sort of end up on both sides of the fence these days. Yes, I know just what you mean re frustration
