Here we are again with a game against the side sitting 10th currently and again one has to ask what could go wrong with this one. I have again looked at the last 5 matches and although our league position is a long way below 10th, the current league form is actually better than the oppositions. For example they have lost the last two. Is that a better guide to the possible result or is that being a bit too hopeful.

Sadly, and I do mean that, they are to be without their Captain and our ex player Curtis Nelson. Shame because I would have liked to have seen him back here leading his side out. A bonus for us though I think. This is another of those games as per last weekend. It isn't going to be easy but then again I don't think any of the games will be. It is about time the team put in a performance in front of their own and at home. I am still unsure what to make of this game except that I am hopeful we can come through and continue our mini climb. To go with any revival we need the clubs around us to go into a bit of a retreat. Bring it on I say.

Build up to pen looked offside: lino not up with play as usual. I thought "double jeopardy" had been eliminated. Perhaps a pen but a red card also?

Ten man Argyle have done OK considering but being one man down is making it hard to break out when Oxford do gave the ball.

Why did we give Oxford the initiative at the start.....they were on a bad run...we needed to stuff them....Adams does seem to get some thrashings at home.....no side as done that to us away.

We didn't give them the initiative: it was even Stephens until the ref and the lino conspired to hand it over.

Neither is it fair to say we played defensively: in fact we paid the price for pushing on for a goal with 10 men

Oxford do have quick nimble players in attack and they were a handful but if we'd scored first or they'd suffered a red card, which they could have a couple of times, who knows?

Now we are short of a CB for 3 games and possibly have another injured keeper after a rash challenge on him with a game on Tuesday.

I'm not going to complain about Miller now I've seen Taylor-Sinclair, although perhaps I caught him on a bad day.

Jervis scuffed a great chance early in the second half when it might have made a difference and again towards the end when it was too late. He should have won a penalty late in the first half when he was hauled down in an an aerial challenge.

Adams does need to shake it up. Carey needs to stop trying to win it himself every time he gets a touch. Lameirias was lively when he came on. I don't know why his first substitution wasn't Taylor- Sinclair off and Lameirias on, going 3 at the back. The man short in midfield left us under the cosh anyway so keeping the ball better might have aided defence and attack.

Very very disappointing but hardly representative given the early red card.

The Lino missed a gaping offside. Trust me I sit opposite and it was a gaping miss and he was behind the play by a mile. That's the first cock up made by an official. Then the Referee gave a foul on their player by Edwards. This was a 50/50 decision as to it actually being a foul in the first place. So, he gives it and a penalty because it's in the box. Then he pulls out a red card. WTF is that all about I ask myself because there is no way on this planet it was a red card or anything remotely close to being one. The Referee ruined what had been an even game up to that point. Fact, you cannot try to get back into a game having one man less for two thirds of a game. We did very well for the rest of the first half and it could have level quite easily by then. Second half and we continued to chase the game. Inevitable that they break away and score number two. After that they repeated same twice more hence 0 - 4. They were a decent side and passed and moved extremely well. It wasn't their fault the Referee gave them the match so no blame on Oxford and they did what they had to do in the circumstances.

I am sick to death of these officials being so poor. I paid good money to watch football for a season not to have it ruined by some twat in the middle with a whistle who doesn't have a clue what he's doing or why he's there. This is happening more and more and these plonkers are going to drive people away from the game if it goes on. It sounds like sour grapes I know but believe me it isn't. It's a bit late for this game but I think Argyle should appeal the card and formally complain about the standard of officialdom. It is truly shocking.

And he's the same little w***er who gestures to the crowd behind his back. He put his thumb up when he was getting the first round of stick and later made a sort of "kiss my arse" gesture. He did the same a couple of years back.

It might be a bit harsh to have a go at Adams today for us losing given the officials and the red card but there are ever loud calls for his head from the green faithful and they aren't getting any quieter as time goes by. People are beginning to note the stats and the blame for those are towards Adams and his tactics at home. For example did you realise that we have received as many red cards as we have scored goals at home this season? Yes 5 of each. Reds for opposition teams nil and goals for at Home Park 19. Questions as to why Miller was brought on in place of Taylor-sinclair. I have to say I didn't notice any injury to need a replacement. I have yet to see Miller have a good game yet Adams persists in bringing him on. We were losing so the answer was a fullback who hardly ever gets forward, never takes on their man to pass him and virtually always passes instead of forwards. How is that going to address our goal scoring record?

The thing is, and I've said this before, Adams is pretty much unsackable given the length of his contract. There is no way Brent will fork out compo to him or to another club to replace him. We are therefore stuck no matter what he does. Eventually though the customers will no longer be so forgiving and will start to vote with their feet. Something has to give here. I'm not particularly an Adams Out person but that does not mean I cannot see where others are coming from with regard to him. I am starting to think that we ARE doomed this season. Another loss on Tuesday and it will only reinforce that view. We haven't won on a Tuesday night at Home Park since September 2015 apparently. Fills you with real optimism doesn't it.

Whether it should have been a penalty/red card is still being debated-need to see a decent view before a final decision is made. My initial reaction was penalty and yellow card but others agree with the ref, and some claim it wasnt even a foul and the Oxford player should be banned for simulation. As far as the match is concerned I think sensible is pretty much on the money. We played reasonably well, but were stuffed by having a player less than Oxford.

Enjoyed the armed services day stuff, glad it is over and we can get back to normal.

Been watching the very short Sky video....it shows nothing but the goals....gives you no chance of an opinion over the penalty... and no chance to see if Argyle ever got in their opponents half....not worth looking at really.

Talk of Remi Matthews being doubtful for Tuesday....will we need another emergency loan....and who would be prepared to loan us a keeper with our luck between the posts.
