Match Day Thread Southampton vs Everton 26/11/17 1:30PM KO - Embarrassment on National TV Edition

Lost all interest this season.

That's why I'm getting up at 5 in the morning, to leave home by 7 for the 300 mile round trip to st marys on a cold Sunday, when the game is on tv to watch 2 teams playing pretty poorly, struggling to score goals or even create chances, leaving my lovely wife snuggled up at home watching Christmas films in the warm, whilst me, a grown man will be shouting oh when the saints, in unison with other men and women, experiencing the highs and lows of 90 minutes of overpaid footballers huffing and puffing, longing for someone, anyone in a red and white top to get a little round ball in a great big fncking net.

Football eh.

At least I'm still sane...............wibble...........................wibble.

 

I am going to try and watch this on TV....not managed that this season due to cowardice. May have to tie myself to the chair, kick the remote out of my reach and stuff a hankie in my mouth, but I will give it a go.

Note to self: Take extra beta-blocker.

 

I read something (OK, I fess up - it was 'NewsNow') about Unsworth's job being on the line if Everton don't win, or something.

This could be a situation where both managers get sacked tomorrow. Maybe they could just swap Technical Areas

Unsworth hasn't really got a job...he is keeping the manager's seat warm. He won't be sacked until they get a replacement. (Yes, I do appreciate you were joking ).

 

I can't believe Hojbjerg can't get a look in. It such a waste to keep a talented young player on the sidelines especially in absence of Lemina and possibly Romeu.

 

I agree entirely. Romeu is suspended, so someone has to do his job. Apart from Lemina, Højbjerg is the best option.

 

There are a few things that are difficult to believe. So much so, that (unfortunately) they have become believable. And I don't hold out much hope of that changing tomorrow.

 

Its weird, If Lemina is back you know nothing's going to change and its going to be same old. and if he's still out they we'll finally see something a bit different but that we'll almost certainly lose, and its an important game, yet for some reason i find myself secretly hoping Lemina is still out just so i can see that something different.

 

I have not posted in a while because we have been playing so good, now we are playing like **** I am posting something, we are playing like ****!

 

We'll tell you when it's safe to come out.

I’m not sure that Højbjerg is disciplined enough to play the defensive midfield role.
For me, he allows himself to be dragged out of position and likes to dally on the ball a bit too much.
Maybe he just needs game time?

 

Definitely want him to start.

We have no power over what side the manager puts out, so we just have to hope he has his best players available.

Yeah, its just its hard to know if they are the best if we don't get to see anyone else. IDK, i just get bored of seeing the same players and tactics every time. I actually enjoyed Puel's rotation.

My head says, WE WANT LEMINA! But my heart says it wants to see Pellegrino be forced to try something new to see how he copes.

 

I understand what you mean. But whatever problems we've had this season, Lemina has not been one of them.

 

Decent results for us ....all in our hands now.

 

Yeah, can't complain. Palace late goal is a bit annoying.

 

Depends how hopeful you are...teams above us didn't pull away. If we win (cough), that will be more important to us than the teams below picking up points.
