So Yeovil made a tactical change at half time...and it seems we couldn't cope with a lower Div 2 teams double change.....how can we cope then with Div 1 teams doing tactical changes before the end of season in May....<doh>.

And a different formation don't forget. As someone noted on Twitter, that will be Adams single attempt at 2 up front marked down as a fail. Back to 4: 1: 4: 1 on Saturday.

Being the infamous Checkatrade Trophy, fewer PAFC fans travelled than would usually be the case, so there aren't too many reports from fans. What I've heard though is positive. The local paper gave him 6/10 - which makes him joint top scorer in a crap performance! A number of the other established players got 4/10, including both wing-backs and one of the CB's, so he wasn't necessarily that well protected.

The paper's comment on him was "The 19-year-old showed a lot of poise on his Pilgrims’ debut. Could not be faulted for either of Yeovil’s goals".

There is talk however of Remi Matthews coming back to us from Norwich when he recovers fitness. He's been good for us over 6 games and is 23 with 30+ League games under his belt in various loan spells. We also have Mark McCormick coming back to fitness who, whatever anyone may think of him, is a top notch keeper. No reflection on your lad therefore if he does get sent back.

To be fair, he did pretty well; nothing much he could do about the goals, looked confident, kicked well and good to see a young keeper restarting play quickly by throwing the ball out to one of his players rather than just punting it downfield. Obviously still got lots to learn but showed plenty of promise.

He had only just arrived so it was a bit much to expect a spectacular games from him. I heard he did ok also which is a good sign.

I may be wrong with this but I had thought that Matthews could not come back unless it was in January as a proper loan within the transfer window. He was an emergency loan and you can only have one of them. If you have one then you are stuck with that choice until your own keepers are fit again or that one gets injured and you have to look for another one. The way we get through keepers this season says that could happen I guess.

Cheers for that, I go to most of our U23's games and have been very impressed with him, but to step up to your level is a different "kettle of fish". Good to hear he seemed to handle the occasion OK.

He seems to be a character played by actor Jon Lindstrom in an American Soap Opera called....Santa Barbara.....not a lot of people know that.

Either that or he's the former chairman of Bursledon Parish Council, who has been charged with 24 offences connected to indecent assaults on children and one count of indecent assault or an American lawyer, sports agent and writer who was the founder and chairman of International Management Group, now IMG, an international management organization serving sports figures and celebrities.

I'm very sure I know none of those people.....

As they are only 7 day loans then Remi could come back if all our professionals remain injured and we don't have an emergency loan signed at the time. So, in theory, once young Will's loan expires we could sign anyone (if our three professionals remain unavailable), including Remi- if we wanted to.

Guess that makes sense lyndhurst. The misconception was just me assuming it was that way.

Trust me , I have spent a lot of time signing GKs recently! We are in unprecedented territory but the rules are pretty clear. If all professional GKs are unavailable , you are allowed to sign one as an emergency loan, and these only last 7 days. Each separate 7 day period is treated as a stand alone contract, so everything gets reviewed once a week.
