Now this one really is a "what could possibly go wrong" game. The last few match threads have started by me saying about the possition of teams we were about to play and they were invariably higher than us. The what could go wrong bit was fairly obvious to anyone but this one is against a side who have lost their last 3 games on the spin and who are flirting with the relegation spots. The fact that nothing SHOULD go wrong has never stopped it from happening before. Facts are we owe Wimbledon for the Wembley debacle where we didn't turn up and they did just about. We should, in the words of Basil Faulty, give them a damned good thrashing. However, I still can't bring myself to get over confident with any games despite our obvious improvement. I think our Tuesday bogey was broken the last time so perhaps we might sneak over the line with this one this time. COYG
Sitting in my front room listening to the wind blowing through the trees outside and it's gonna be a stormy old night I think. I'm just hoping the weather tomorrow evening isn't going to continue with this blowing a gale lark. I'm about sick and fed up with the wind and rain this winter and I don't want to go to an evening game where I get soaked and blown away. Says it should improve so best it does.
Certainly was a wild night, not helped by my daughter being taken into hospital for a few hours with flu. Sunny and calm here this morning though. Light winds and a < 10% chance of rain for this evening.
Hope your daughter is better soon notdistant. Always a bleddy worry aren't they and my baby is 40 this April. Has calmed down a lot but news full of fallen trees and stuff. It still keeps chucking a shower here though so hoping that will bugger off soon. I hate it when I have to wade through the Barne Park entrance past that pond which floods even now too easily. Had squelchy shoes and socks more than once.
Mrs Plym has been under the weather for seven days now...spends most of the time in bed sleeping or coughing....taking her down the surgery this afternoon for a emergency appointment....hopefully get a prescription to get things moving towards recovery....maybe something for me as well....I'm knackered all this nursey thing.
Hope you and the daughter are ok Not distant and Mrs Plym, The flu has been a nightmare this season,, Hope fully the weather will change soon, but i like it cold..
Great first half by all accounts. PAFC taking a disallowed first goal and an equalizer in their stride to lead 3-1. Carey described as "unplayable" and Fox's first goal for PAFC a stunner. I don't know how big the crowd is but they are bloody noisy here at home! 10th as we stand.
In fact Fox's goal is apparently: The most a Fox has pleased Mr Derek since Basil Brush got a new series in 1969. #pafc https://t.co/voUYGmw3HS
