Not any thawing going on here at the moment....but definitely not so cold, snow still around. Forecast suggesting that later tomorrow it will be 33/34f.

BC.....I imagine that Sittingbourne/Rochester has seen far more snow than here in Orpington NW Kent.....never more than an inch or so....but something falling quite often to give a fine powdering effect, side roads just skating rinks. Just 12 miles down the road at one of our favourite haunts Sevenoaks, there are reports of 5/6 inches falling....so we're quite lucky here.
Not yet above freezing here, but nearly (0730)....I notice that where I cut my boiler condensate pipe there are icicles about a foot long hanging down from the cut and the Wisteria climbing that end wall.

PS.....I assume that your on Pacific Standard time there.....8hrs behind London....am I correct ?

Looks possible that one of our magnificent Magnolia's (early flowerer, end of March)....might have been damaged by the extreme cold....buds too advanced for such weather....would be a pity....it's a big tree and dominates the area outside our bedroom window.

Yep all passable now as even mangaed to get out to prince town and lee moor this morning.. Its the bursts on out side areas that are the problem, had a few in the roof spaces but most turned the water off as soon as they realised.
Hope fully it returns next winter :p:p

When I pulled the curtains open this morning the grass was all green and it was as if there had been no snow at all. No frozen road just a soggy park. It did rain nearly all day today though which was back to bleddy normal. Said to her indoors that I am now well and truly fed up with this winter. We deserve it to dry up and warm up now.

That's a Monday. If you are here on the 24th March Argyle are away to Charlton that weekend. Not far to pop for a viewing BC.............you could meet up with Plymborn for a cup of cocoa and a biscuit.
