I doubt either would unship Matthews anyway the way the results are going.

I would be very disappointed if Derek Adams was even slightly interested in his old club other than feeling sorry for the plight they were in.

I hear on this morning's news vehicles were trapped on the motorway near Rochdale. Not the ideal time to be setting out on a 300 mile journey. Let's hope they take the sensible view and call it off.

In the absence of a PAFC game, I watched Sean Dyche's plucky Burnley come back from 0-1 down to beat Everton 2-1. Ashley Barnes terrorised the Everton defence from the start to the end of 90 minutes and Yannick Bolasie came on as a 2nd half substitute for Everton.

Elsewhere Connor Hourihane has scored 4 in his last 9 games for Aston Villa, currently 3rd in the Championship.

    Just sayin.......

Lastly, I heroically forecast Southend down to beat Walsall, who've until today had taken only 2 points from their last 6 away games, 3-1, a change from the usual timid 2-1's and 1-0's. The actual result is Southend 0 Walsall 3.

With the Argyle improvement after weeks of despair there is an irony about some of the conversations online going on at the minute regarding Adams. Suddenly the world and his dog has woken up to the fact that Argyle are on the up at least currently and have performed some sort of miracle to be in the position they are. The irony is that not very long ago the position of Adams was being questioned at every match and on every thread online. There were plenty who wanted shot of Adams who couldn't manage a fart let alone a football club. Have to admit I wasn't that convinced he had tactics to turn us around. Fast forward a couple of months and now the talk is still about Adams and his future at the club. This time though it is praying that with all of this publicity suddenly thrust upon us that no other club comes calling with a massive wage on offer to tempt "our" Derek to pastures new. Having spent loads of years telling anyone who would listen that nobody cares about Plymouth Argyle except ourselves, and then only some of us, the masses are complaining about too much publicity and too many taking notice. You have to smile don't you.

Just cant see why they are worried, they all move on at some stage.. I have not ever thought he should have walked when we were going through a bad period in the early part of the season, but he has stuck with it and continued it his way and got the results. So also Brent stuck with him as to many clubs have 3 or 4 bad results and get rid, then you have to start again.. We could have ended up with Evans

Have to say for a youngster he does look to be a prospect. Argyle over the years has been very well served with keepers and some of them young keepers at that. Luke when he first came to the fore and several others. Lets hope he goes on and doesn't cock up anywhere because our young keepers have not always kept out of problems. Luke for one and Nichols was another who died so sadly and unfortunately before he could prove just how good he was.

I see Adams has won the manager of the month award. Not a big surprise is it. Same record as Rotherham but look who we played to win all of ours. Well done Derek.

Injuries have started to undermine our end of season finish.
Antoni Sarcevic has a groin injury which now needs an operation.....it seems to have been around for awhile and now needs sorting out.
Jamie Ness came off yesterday with a calf injury.
Gary Miller and Simon Church are injured as well.....one a hamstring the other a thigh, although Derek Adams couldn't remember who had which and didn't seem to bothered who had what either.
Sonny Bradley missed out on Saturday because of illness....I assume he picked up one of the bugs going around at the moment.
Having both of our first choice central defenders out is a real problem....Ryan Edwards of course is going through treatment at the moment and with two months of the season left will probably not feature in a serious way this season.
Not sure how Ruben Lameiras is, he did come off injured yesterday....will he be available for next Saturday.
At least we should be save regarding our safety in this Division for next season...who ever we pick to play.
