Sorry sensible......The 24th is going to be a family day out....my son, grandson, Mrs Plym and myself will be going down the valley.....my son and grandson are a bit worried about this game and would of preferred it to have been postponed because of a few players not being available, more because of injuries and not the usual international call ups that they would normally get.
I did bring them up to date that Argyle will be missing some major players themselves...obviously Ryan Edwards and maybe still Sonny Bradley as well, Antoni Sarcevic and Jamie Ness will both be unavailable.
Charlton having a bigger squad than us and this will mean that they have a better chance of covering their missing players.....we our very thin when first choice players are missing.....lets hope this Paul Paton hits the ground running and stiffens up our midfield....plus Moses Makasi with a goal under his belt move on to better things.

Unnecessary capitals in title, no form guide, nothing about what could go wrong and not even a sign of a COYG. Even worse effort that lyndhurst's. This site is going downhill fast.

Charlton have been struggling since the January window....there No1 striker Ricky Holmes moved on to Sheffield U....he had scored only 6 goals at the time....since then they have amassed 9pts, scoring 10 goals and giving away 14 goals. Top scorers this season now are Josh Magennis 8, Tariqe Fosu-Henry 7, Jake Forster-Caskey 5...... they will be desperate to get 3pts against us....if they don't then the play-offs will be disappearing fast for them.

That's the reason right there isn't it. Too many double barrel names on the backs of shirts weighing the players down with excess lettering.

Have to say when Charlton played down here, although we beat them 2 - 0 as one of our very few points games at that time, they were still one of the best passing sides I'd seen this season and I haven't seen too many better since. To see them struggling is a bit of a surprise because I did think they would be nailed on to go up. Fans boycotts and owner problems have been a bit of a distraction for them but it's still surprising because I do think they have the players to be doing better than they are.

Charlton supporters group who have been trying to rid the club of it's Belgium owner are on the verge of starting their campaign again. The agreed take over with two consortium's seems to be "up in the air" with no obvious result happening at present. Roland Duchatelet the owner is very much the hated figure at present.

Manager Karl Robinson is under great pressure to "turn around" Charlton's floundering season.....he is at present one of the favourites for the Oxford job (is that still vacant ?)

Shades of Argyle.....Ben Amos their No1 keeper could be struggling for Saturday....talk of bringing in an emergency loan to cover for him.

That was a very good game...... gave me confidence we could play at this level although it took a while for results to prove it.

Argyle nearing 2,500 sold tickets for the trip to the Valley (maximum of 3000 generally).....hundreds more would have bought tickets this end as well for other parts of the ground....my son has bought tickets for Mrs Plym and myself in the home end, the North Stand behind the goal near their season ticket seats...this could be a difficult afternoon if Argyle do well....with comments for local ears of...oh blow...or...damn...or...oh no....of course if Charlton score... not standing up and shouting will give the game away.

Charlton's manager Karl Robinson has offered his resignation...but owner Duchatelet has refused it....it is thought he offered to resign after the Blackpool defeat as well.
The Australian-led party who have been in negotiations with Duchatelet are thought to be keen on bringing in Harry Kewell who is manager of Crawley Town.
Karl Robinson is supposed to be favourite for the Oxford vacancy.
Hard for them to keep their eye on the football at the moment....important for Argyle to keep focussed on the game and let Charlton worry about the mess that the club is in.

It seems that Derek Adams has already ruled out Sonny Bradley from playing on Saturday.

There is no doubt that Charlton as a club are in a bit of turmoil but reading some of the posts around on Argyle websites does not fill me with confidence. A lot are saying that this is a great time to play them and 3 points should be expected. That has to be bullshit. I just hope that the players don't go there with an over cocky expectation because that for me is a recipe for disaster. Ignore all the off field stuff and concentrate on the on field stuff. The rest will take care of itself and has nothing to do with a game of football.

Young Arsenal whizz-kid Stephy Mavididi has returned to training to his loan club Charlton after 6 weeks out after receiving treatment back at Arsenal.

The South London Press are expecting Charlton to announce this morning the exit of Karl Robinson to take over the vacant Oxford managers job.
It is expected that Lee Bowyer and Johnnie Jackson will take charge of the Saturday match against Argyle.
You can expect this to fire up Charlton to play better than they have in recent weeks.

Above confirmed...Robinson has left the Addicks by mutual agreement....no mention by Charlton of whether he will be taking over at Oxford.
