Well I can't wait for Sensible to get back from the pub. I'd guess that will be at around 2am.

Well here I am and I'm buzzing after that. It wasn't that the match was the greatest football in the world but the result and the reaction of that very nice Mr Evans at the end. He was livid and even though he had a go at the officials all the way through the game he could not stop himself having a bigger go at the end. He and his cheating feckwit bunch of losers can just pee off back to wherever Peterborough is. I have to say that no other result this season has given me more pleasure than this one.

Make no mistake we were worthy of our points all day long and whatever Evans says they got what they deserved. They did what a typical Evans side does. They fell down, stayed down when they thought it was necessary and ended up with exactly what they deserved. I think that without exception all the Argyle earned their pay today. Dodgy moments yes but overall they stood up to the provocation and came through it. MOM for me is a difficult one. You could give it to anyone of half a dozen players. Perhaps I would give it to Threkald on balance or if not him them Taylor who got hammered all game and never once retaliated. They deserved their sending offs even though the Referee was a right clown. You would think that with two red cards for them and a penalty he was a homer. There could be nothing further from the truth and we won despite him rather than anything else.

All we can do is win our games and if we do then we go into the play offs. On this form and with this resolve there is no reason why they can't do it. Not saying they will but it won't be for the want of trying. Geddon bheys you done us proud today.

p.s. I have had a couple of sherberts. Not too many though.

So there is still a possibility of an Argyle v Charlton Wembley trip.....bit of a family dilemma for me.....having tried to bring my family up proper I end up with a son and grandson who are season ticket holders at Charlton ?
I doubt if we would sit together....I certainly would want to be in the green half of the stadium....would possibly be up to 60,000 attendance plus.
Still mystifies me how Argyle failed to turn up at the Valley the other week.....they played well yesterday and dominated most of the last hour.....pressure doesn't seem to phase them.....so next week it will be the same situation against Portsmouth and the same result will really strengthen our chances.

Lot of cuffuffle on the air ways about the match yesterday.

Lots of moaning about Carey cheating and running deliberately into the Peterborough player to try and get him booked or sent off.....others said how can we complain when we have Maddison, Marriott, Grant and Forrester diving all the time.
Some complained about Steven Taylor being sent off before the penalty was taken....one other Peterborough fan said 'the moment I saw Taylor scuffing up the penalty spot, I knew he was gone'.
Others complained that the foul against Threlkeld was soft.
Others were horrified at Evans ranting and were worried that he was turning the team into moaners and long ball punters for Marriott to get on to.

Lets not jump the gun chaps it's still a long way to Wembley and I will not believe we are anywhere near close until we actually are. One game at a time.

I think some of the above is quite accurate and in that I include the soft Red card given for the Carey incident. Having watched that about a dozen times now that was not even a booking for me and I can't see what the Ref or a.n.other saw. Having said that you reap what you sow. They do indeed have players who dive rather a lot and it's obvious even the Posh fans can see it. The second incident was a penalty for me. The player took Threkald out with his in air challenge and made no attempt to play a ball. The player who got sent off deserved his card for being an absolute prat. He got told more than once and just didn't seem to understand. As for Evans well what can I say. You all know my opinion of the odious git. He did nothing but mouth off yesterday at the Ref and 4th official at every opportunity. His players lay down and moaned all of the time. Evans breeds that sort of thing and yes the manager's personality does rub off on the staff. He will never change as long as he is allowed to get away with it. He has condemned the Referee in his post match and said loads of stuff that Managers get fined for. Hope he gets one as well. What nobody has mentioned was the nailed on penalty that Carey never got just before they scored. Had the Ref given that they would not have had their chance to score. Mentioned by Evans? Not on your life.

Having watched the highlights on iFollow, Carey didn't run into him, the defender stepped into his path. Possibly a yellow might have been enough but then again, Taylor should have been long gone for the fouls on Ness in the first half and on Taylor in the second.

Taylor was definitely scuffing the penalty spot so that's conduct so ungentlemanly as to definitely warrant a card.

    Justice done.

Steve Evans has been on his soap box again....claiming that Peterborough have received great sympathy throughout the football world for what happened on Saturday.

He claims that Graham Carey was going for an Oscar whilst rolling around holding his face and that the red card given to Liam Shephard will undoubtedly be rescinded when reviewed, following Evans official protest about it. He also says that the referee took advice from the linesman who was 60 yards away and has since seen the video replay himself and has told Evans that it shouldn't of been a yellow card let alone a red......we await the result of the review by the EFL with baited breath.

This scuffing up the penalty spot thing seems to be on the rise. The Southend players did exactly the same when we got one. Not once or one player but several and none got booked. I'm still of the opinion that Carey's wasn't a red card but then again there is no evidence it was acting either. I find it very rich that anyone who follows Peterborough can have any problem with a player going down clutching something and rolling around. They have numerous players who are renowned for it as every other club knows. I also find it highly amusing that Evans would think anyone has sympathy for anything he is involved with. The odious git has no friends. If it gets rescinded then fine by me although a bit of me hopes it doesn't and it serves as a lesson to the club.

The most obnoxious comment from an obnoxious man is that:

"Another surprising thing was to hear the manager of Plymouth Argyle, Derek Adams, who has done a great job it has to be said, saying it is a deserved red.

"I don’t think he would have been thinking that on Saturday evening in his little flat with his little glass of wine."

Now I don't know what Derek Adams' personal circumstances are but it's unbecoming for one manager to make that sort of disparaging comment about another manager. This is especially the case from a man whose own chairman once said: "Evans talks too much' and should learn to 'shut his mouth' and who has been convicted for football related tax fraud.
