I've been asking the same question all season.............."what could possibly go wrong". Well with this one every bleddy thing is what and it could define our season. "Phaaaarrrrtttt!"

It is pointless giving a rundown on current form because it's totally irrelevant this time. The last two games have been against clubs in the relegation zone and we picked one point up from the two of them. Whatever the outcome I think we have to agree that this season has been more than a little interesting and exciting at times. All the way from doom and gloom to excitement in spades and hopes of success. Be honest, in December a lot of us would have backed us to be relegated by the end of February let alone in May. I know we can win this game. My grandaughter is coming to it and she has never seen Argyle lose yet. That in itself is reason enough to be confident.

I have read a few comments elsewhere where other supporters think Argyle are punching above their weight right now. I think that's an absolute load of bollox and we have every right to be where we are. If we make the play offs then it will be on merit and nothing to do with weight punching. I say lets give Rotherham a thrashing and show these other supporters just how wrong they are.

I agree with Sensible. IF we go further we fully deserve it. I've seen some tremendous stuff from this side. Even when we lost early on, I sometimes felt we hadn't deserved it, other times not so much if course.

Neither, despite how much we clearly depend on Taylor, are we a long ball team. He is just the guy that pulls it all together.

Whatever happens, next season will be tricky. Attendances will be down but funds need to be found to strengthen the squad, either because we go up or to make it more resilient against injuries and suspensions in League 1.

Adams seems to thrive on having a good clear out each summer....there seemed to be a few managers etc viewing the Rochdale game on Tuesday.....ok understandable why the Rotherham manager was there with us playing them on Saturday....if there is interest in Carey then they will have to pay a fee seeing that he is under contract for next season....and if that is the case we need to value him higher than the normal give away price that we have been accepting ever since administration.

Nothing but a victory will do today.....I can't see MK Dons stopping Scunthorpe from winning......Tuesday will either be a great occasion or a damp squid dead rubber.

The way our season is finishing suggests to me that Ryan Taylor is the player of the season.....without him we are toothless.

Only 2pts in it so a draw would go to last game.

Well well. Slick football from both sides at times but little penetration from Argyle in the first half. Grant was the best of the front 3, which says a lot about how little Carey and Lameiras, usually driving forces, got involved.

Rotherham sacrificed some attacking intent on their LH side to double bank Carey whilst Lameiras' tricks and flicks failed him in a tightly packed Rotherham defence.

After half an hour, Argyle passed the ball around on the halfway line until they eventually gave it away and Rotherham raced through to score.

At that stage, I couldn't see Argyle pulling it back unless they found a way to get all of the front three into the game.

However, as I said a couple of weeks back, this side don't know when to give up. Rotherham were content to sit back and waste time to get the 1-0 win. Argyle got some momentum and Carey slid the ball though the forest of defenders for Grant to slot home calmly from around the penalty spot. Game on.

Rotherham suddenly got a hurry on and pressed. Matthews made a world class one handed save low down to his left when the ball looked already past him.

It was stressful and it seemed that the best to hope for was to hang on for the draw. The Argyle players didn't see it that way though and with the clock running down, Carey burst into the box and had his legs swept from under him. Nailed on penalty which he smashed home with utter confidence. Cue hysteria all around the ground which followed through to a warm sending off for the players, including Ryan Taylor, Ryan Edwards and Luke McCormick. Ness did the lap of honour with an ice pack on his knee. Not another one!

So a brave and hard fought win over a good side although not one in which we could say we were the better team.

    We remain in the hunt........

PS Derek Adams didn't do the lap of honour.

He's said he'll do that after the play-offs. There's confidence and leadership..... and a touch of arrogance no bad thing when he's on your side!

Not quite Joe but it is the defining game between us and Scunthorpe and what a fitting climax to our season. The Gillingham game at the moment can't influence anything if we lose on Tuesday. I repeat that my grandaughter came today and she has only ever seen Argyle win. At 1 - 0 down I said to her that I think your record is coming to an end. She told me not to worry and boy what a prediction that was.

This was not a fluke desipte the 91st minute winner. We started off looking very very good. We passed the ball really well and made chances even if we didn't convert. It was also obvious that Rotherham were not anyone's mug either. Not scoring when you are on top is pivotal to any game. Sure enough we made a monumental cock up at the back and paid the price by giving away a goal. I thought it was a bit against the run of play but I suppose we had both had chances and were quite even by then. Half time came and we went in behind for umpteenth time lately. In the second half I thought we were both quite even again with chances going generally begging. A chance was created for Grant who I thought had a very very good game and it was suddenly 1 - 1 and game on.

Now it has to be said that up to the point of us equalising Rotherham looked like they wanted the 3 points. Once it got to 70 minutes or so they seemed to change into a side that just wanted the point and began wasting time. They hadn't done that before so it seemed a bit out of character. It sort of worked with us batting our heads against a brick wall and them hitting us on the break if they could. Matthews kept us in the game several times and one a point blank save one on one. Had that gone in I think we would have been done. They lay down a few times and it was all becoming very frustrating. Then out of the blue in injury time Carey was brought down in the box. For me it was a penalty and he stepped up to take it. Top corner and never in doubt once it left his boot. Have to say it was in doubt in my mind until he hit it. 2 - 1 and it was season still on.

It was a decent game today allthough if honest I thought a few players were not on fire. Lameiras wasn't firing and Carey was marked and didn't do that well. Fox did well as did Ness. Fox had one volley that nigh on took their keepers hands off. Outside the box, dropped down from a height and he hit it perfectly. Everyone wanted that to rattle the net because it would have been goal of the season in any league. We won and that was all that mattered. Onwards to Tuesday now and I for one will find a tele to watch it on. COYG.
