Jose said at the press conference this afternoon how Darmian, Blind and Fellaini are all still in his plans - god help us. Also said the reason for Bailly's recent absence is that he's not going to the World Cup so Jose wanted to give other players a chance. Okkk.
Do you think any manager of any contracted player would say they are not in his plans, that would really boost the sales price for the club wouldn't it Good call on Bailly, let others try to claim a place in their national squad for the world cup You have to ask yourself, what would Roy do
So which CB is not in the best interest of the team? Bailly is a red card or penalty waiting to happen in most games. What about saying players are in his plans?
We don't need to get into the other CBs - the bottom line is Jose has said he left out Bailly recently for sentimental reasons rather than form. About saying Darmian and Blind are in his plans when they've hardly played all season, I guess I just get fed up of the political talk from Mourinho, never knowing what's truth and lies.
Read the other day that Jose was planning on giving Martial the striker role while Lukaku is injured, be interesting to see how he does over the next 2 or 3 games.
poor Shaw everyone had a chance to start today except him .. I think Jose is unfair with him.. he didn't give him enough chance Pogba seem to care less to track the ball back or win the ball .. Mctominay deserved to start rather than him
our team problem is that there is no urgency to score earlier unlike city and liverpool or even old SAF team .. we need to concede to start attacking if we lose today .. it mean we lost against all 3 newly promoted teams
when we started attacking we controlled the match .. why fkn we don't start attacking earlier instead leaving till is late ?
No so you may have the opportunity to slap me about a bit here but I'll oblige anyway. He's insinuated that he's been asked all season why he's not given players the opportunity and that this performance is why. Does it not follow that if talented players are disgruntled because they don't get the opportunity that they may be below par when a manger who doesn't believe in them all of a sudden expects them to be 100%?
Fair enough, I would never slap anyone for being honest If you had watched it you would have seen players consistently passing the ball out of play or to an opponent, dawdling on the ball with 5 or 6 touches until an opponent took it off them, shooting miles wide or over, strolling around with no effort on show at all. None of this is down to tactics or the managers coaching, it's just piss poor play and application. Unfortunately we could only make 3 changes (and they were far too late) What did we learn... Fellaini should never start (we knew that already) Rashford and Martial should never start together and neither is a striker ( at least I knew that already) Lingard is essential to the foward play Pogba is on drugs Darmian is a competent RB but nothing more and useless going forward Mata needs movement around him to be effective (Lingard/Sanchez/Herrera) Lukaku's runs and hold-up play were badly missed I could go on but that should say enough.
