    Yeah, it's that time of year again, grand final Saturday eve. How much more excitement can we take? The **** music thread, but good for the piss take and laugh.

    Not as good without Wogan though!

    One of the favourites is the Cyprus entry, a sultry, pretty looking woman, with computer enhanced voice, which seems to be all the rage at the moment. The only thing in the official video which reminds me of Cyprus is the unfortunate setting fire to a car, which is the typical Cypriot way to sort out controversies....

    Suggest dedicated to the memory of Tickles, who a few of us joined in with his running piss take commentary over a few years ago now, how time flies.

    RIP Tickles.

    You don't know what you're missing 'til it's gone. Tickles was comedy gold at times, in a multi-quoting kind of way.

    A few of us joined in with Tickles, staying through the whole Eurovision in 2016, he gave a running piss take commentary of most acts, fond memories of light hearted banter & piss take. Never to return, not seen again on here soon after that.

    It's just a massive entertainment event not to be taken seriously!
    Completely political but funny none the less.

    The Cyprus one I liked at first but I went off it a bit now.

    My favourites that made the final
    Albania
    Australia
    Hungary
    Lithuania
    Moldova
    Slovenia

    Of the auto qualifiers I'm expecting to like the Spanish one the most.

    This competition is more important than you'll ever know and the might Kingdom of Sweden has been crowned the Queen of this competition 6 (SIX) times and what do you have? One poxy world cup.....

    To night the whole of Sweden will be head over heels for this competition one of us will win it because that's the name of the game. And when all is said and done we'll say gimme, gimme, gimme to that wonderful prize as we crowned dancing queen(s). Because the winner takes it all and you'll all be saying thank you for the music.

    The commentator, be it Wogan in the past and Norton now is ****.

    The presenters on the night are ****.

    The voting is done mostly on regional terms, is corrupt and ****.

    It’s meant to be a European competition but Oz is in it and not Canada, which is ****.

    So, I’ll be watching it and loving it. It’s great entertainment as long as you don’t take it seriously.

    You’re all a bunch of fadges. Every year said event is literally teaming with top quality Euro goose*.

    I always watch it with the partner of the time pretending to enjoy its kitsch charm and repetitive chorus catchiness, when for the entire 3 hours I have a raging pan handle. I even watched the semis (arf) this year and it promises not to be a letdown, despite missing the respective qualities of the Belgian and Swiss entries. One of the hosts also looks like a young Bullock - Sandra not bovine - but in a good way.


    *And before anyone makes the joke, I’m talking about women.
