So the day is finally here...the day no one thought possible...the day no one thought would happen. Most thought hell would freeze over before this day ever arrive... Huddersfield ain't been relegated! oh...and some old git has retired. Wenger claims Arsenal's defeat at Leicester showed how much character his team had...he went on to say that Arsenal had title winning home form and were very unlucky away from home so very little needs to change and tbh I think I can raise a glass to that His final season has been full of records... 1st time they have been knocked out of the FA Cup by a lower league team most away defeats in a season during his 22 years lowest league finish in 22 years biggest cup final defeat allowing Leicester their first win since 1874 longest run of away defeats in 3 decades ensuring @PISKIE needed to change his avatars for 7 months but perhaps his most impressive record was that he will finish at least 11 points behind spurs who a) played all their games away from WHL and b) had their worst season in 3 years Huddersfield players have no idea what planet they are on after they have drank non stop since ****ing Chelsea over on Wednesday and so helped Spurs get CL football next season. Wenger has agreed to clear his desk by Thursday so Fat Sam can move in the minute he loses his Sumo match with Fat boy Rooney. There will be a lot of tears from arsenal fans at the final whistle on Sunday...how on earth will Robbies Arsenal TV channel survive when none of those numpty twats have got Wenger to wind them up. Arsenal fans need to get a new chant for their new manager... May I be so bold to suggest... "Brendan , gissa wave...Brendan Brendan gissa wave"
stop being a tart and just like the thread yours sincerely likey likey ho ps nice avatar What made you choose it?
I, for one, would like to express my gratitude for the immense time and effort you have put into these match day posts this season. I have found them to be eloquent, informative and with enough humour to strike the right balance. If I were to offer a critique, it would be that sometimes they have a tendency to meander in contrast to the more succinct efforts of Peskie, but that would just be being picky. Unfortunately, due to the cancellation of the St. Totteringham Day's celebrations, it looks like I won't be able to buy you a thank-you bottle of beer. I rather suspect that opportunity will present itself next year. In the mean time, thanks again, and enjoy the world cup.
Mrs RCL and my daughters love not606...it means they do not have to listen to my ramblings Have a good summer mate
Mirror winifred too, your match day threads have been welcome when the forum went through a quiet depressed period. Hopefully the new changes at Arsenal will bring back the good old days of vibrant discussion threads.
We lead through Aubameyang. 45 minutes remaining for Wenger. Huddersfield fans applauded him in the 22nd minute. #MerciArsene Now that it's all coming to an end, who will admit that they feel a pang of sadness over the departure and what might have been in these last 10-12 years?
I’ll feel nostalgic about it 4 years or so from now. But sad? No, not at all. Time moves forward not backward. I’m much more excited to see what comes next for Arsenal.
Finally broke our winless away streak. Nice way to round things off. Now we are.... managerless. Feels odd.
