the window has shut, how do you think your team will do this year?

For Saints I think it depends on how signings get on. We'll surely be better than last year under Pellegrino and I think we'll be in a relegation battle but ultimately finish about 14-16th. Hoping for a good cup run for the third season in a row too.

Do any Chelsea or Arsenal fans think they will get back in the top 4? Any Spurs fans worried about dropping out?

Yeah I take it back he’s great.

Dream start at home to a team who played in Turkey tonight.

I think United have a slightly better squad than last season but will do worse than last season.

I think Southampton could potentially implode under Sparky.

We'll win the league, probably by 10 points or more.

    We'll probably draw.

And he's not the greatest manager but did you not see how ****ing bad Pellegrino was? He's not got many failures beside you lot really and you were a bit of a basket case at the time.

He made us the basket case!

Apart from that, he’s not done anything, ever.

I didn't realise Burnley were playing in Turkey tonight and they had a strong team out. You'd have to think Southampton must be one of the best bets this weekend. I'll be on them <ok>

With all that’s going on I’ll be amazed if we finish top four again.

Really pleased with our transfer window ... both in terms of who we have brought in and who we have sold (and haven't) ... Mahrez is a mercurial talent and a big loss from any squad ... but Gray and Diabate get a big chance and Maddison brings much needed creativity to midfield ...

Finished 9th last season but with the squad now, we should realistically be looking to challenge for a European spot this season ... here's hoping <cheers>

No new blood. Nine players who took part in the last week of the WC and haven’t had a proper rest. And injuries to those who could take their places for a few games.

Wanted two CMs; an up and comer and a marquee. Wasn’t to be.

First few weeks may be a bit iffy as the majority of our first team only returned on Monday so likely won’t be firing on all cylinders. Now would be a good time to face us. Fancy us to do alright though so long as we don’t lose any key players to European sides - if that happens, you may see a second round of Tottenham riots.
