We had that a couple of weeks ago. The park in front of the house is almost invisible behind the cloud. Normally a load of seagulls arrive out of nowhere and they have a field day eating as many as they can. Get yourself a tame seagull plym and it will do the job for you.

We seem to have tame Squirrels (x4)...Cats (x2)...Magpies (lots)...Fox (1)...Field Mice (x2)....Parakeets (x4)...and our own personal Robin. Only see Gulls on very stormy occasions off the Thames Estuary.....so not much help there then.....these Flying Ants disappear as quick as they come....fortunately.....except the pile of dead ones...:).

Well the planned first grass cut since early June never materialized in the end....rained all day....and now at 9pm really black clouds overhead and the rumble of thunder nearby....no plant watering duties for Mrs Plym this evening.
    Completely dark before 9pm.

Either we are being invaded right now or the annual firework competition is under way. Definately not thunder.

Friday afternoon has turned to heavy rain, plus thunder rolling around in the background....been raining for the last 4 hours.....unusual really the gutters cannot cope with it because how heavy it is and it cascades down the walls and windows....as if we were in the tropics.

So far it hasn't rained enough to put a match out let alone a fire here. I am still waiting for the deluge. Have you tried cleaning out the gutters plym? I never quite get it with you BC. You are either worried about burning down or burried under 8 foot of snow. Bleddy weird Country if you ask me.

Being a bungalow sensible I do that often....because of the wooded area nearby (large oaks).

Temperature down to 58F yesterday.....and this morning it is 48F.

Amazing to think awhile back it was 40F warmer than yesterday.

BC, it isn't English Pasties it's Cornish pasties. There are no other kinds in the world. Anything other than a pasty made in Cornwall is a meat and potato pie...........

Ginsters... BC... is a mass produced "thing" that we jokingly gave as the booby prize for coming last in our prediction league.

So BC please wash your mouth out with carbolic soap and stop swearing.

I cannot believe you even mentioned Ginsters in the same sentence as the word pasty. The answer is most definately not.

You can't buy it anymore BC. You could get the stains out of anything with that stuff.
