    League - Sky Bet Championship
    Date - 21 August 2018
    Kick Off - 19.45
    Venue - The Liberty Stadium

Following their battling, if somewhat fortuitous, draw against Birmingham at St.Andrews, next up for Graham Potter's Team is the visit of second-in-the-table Leeds United.

The key question being asked by the Jack Army is 'when is the squad going to be strengthened by loan signings?' Or is it a case of the Yanks keeping their hands in their pockets and letting Graham Potter and his backroom team get on with it.

The Jack Army is 100% behind Potter and his young, wafer-thin squad - in fact, the team has so far probably exceeded most fans' expectations given the large number of departures - but it must surely be obvious to the Owners and to the Chairman, that the addition on 3 or 4 (talented) players, would put the Club in the position to make a strong challenge to return to the top-flight.

It must surely also be obvious to the Owners and to the Chairman that if there are no additions, then, if this young, threadbare squad were to suffer injuries and/or suspensions, then we could be in danger of 'doing a Sunderland'.....

On Tuesday, the Swans will be facing a Leeds side that has made a highly impressive start to the season. On Saturday, Leeds maintained their perfect start under Marcelo Bielsa with a comfortable win against Rotherham at Elland Road.

The hosts started brightly, though they were fortunate not to fall behind when Millers winger Jon Taylor's shot came back off the inside of the post.

Luke Ayling put Leeds ahead after the break, following up with a diving header after Liam Cooper's effort was pushed back across goal.

Samuel Saiz had a shot cleared off the line as Leeds pressed for a second, before Kemar Roofe slotted in from a tight angle to seal the result.

The Swans and Leeds have met on 36 occasions previously, with the Swans winning 11, Leeds 19 and 6 draws.

The last time the two sides faced each other was on 26 February 2011, when the Swans ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at The Liberty Stadium thanks to a brace from Scott Sinclair and one from Luke Moore.

Arguably, the most memorable fixture between the teams took place in August 1981, when Leeds were the visitors to the Vetch Field in Swansea's first ever game in the top flight of English football, with the Swans running out 5-1 victors:

Turning to Tuesday night's game, this will undoubtedly be Swansea's most difficult match so far this season and it goes without saying that the Swans will have to play immeasurably better than they did against Birmingham last Friday. If they can rise to the occasion, I think that Potter's men can secure a 1-1 draw. If they play as they did against Birmingham, then I can see the Swans losing 0-3. I'm hoping for a draw with the Swans ending Leeds' 100% record. <cheers>

Leeds play a similar game to Birmingham, but without so much of the physicality and anti-football of Monk, so we need to shaw up our midfield, I think Fer should start this one with Carol, Fulton's poor pass rate (36%) will kill us if he starts, so if we do start Fer, I would be hopeful of a draw, but otherwise this will be our first home defeat...............<ok>

A tough game but they all are and we have 7 points from 3 games and to be fair that is more than most of us thought. Every game is different and the brum game was awful....But we came through it and gained a point and we were far to busy giving the team a hard time instead of praising our defence and especially our keeper who kept us in the game.......I think leeds will be our hardest game to date but that dont mean we cant win because we can.....Another game with different problems i hope we click this game and get 3 points...

Leeds can be physical when they need to be and have the better footballers. I can't see anything other than an away win.
Prediction: Swans 0 Leeds 2. I'll be delighted if I'm wrong!!

Worried about this game - we've got 7 points and have been extremely lucky to have gotten more than 2.

I worry this will be the start of our plummet to the bottom half of the table.

We're used to getting punished for stupid mistakes in the PL. The Championship seems far more forgiving based on 3 games so far.

    Leeds will probably win though.

I did say 'probably'. And that's because IMO Leeds have a better side. <ok>

Unless Leeds have dramatically changed personnel they are far from a physical outfit.

Probabilities, Matt. IMO the most likely outcome is a Leeds win but that doesn't mean they will win.

Exactly how I have observed them in the games I have watched them play, but their high tempo reminds me of Bournemouth too, Not the Bournemouth you played though, as they were well off their pace that day, and you still could not get a result...........<laugh>
