Poor start from Argyle it seems, with Riley struggling to contain Delfouneso. Bit better after we conceded but still nothing to impress the fans.

Derek Adams is the best manager for Argyle at the moment.....The Directors have given him full control of everything football related at the club.

    But I ask the following......

1.....Is it the best approach each summer to discard 50% of his playing staff and start again....terrible start last season...ok injuries didn't help...but the amount of red cards received was poor discipline.....the team did well last year in the end....squad not strong enough and ran out of steam in the end...no depth to rest key players.

2.....This season could have been different....the core of the team was ok...we just needed to retain Bradley and Threlkeld by paying them what they were worth...and then strengthen the squad with quality...not other peoples cast-offs as we can see has happened. End result terrible start again....bottom of the league...most goals against....a drought of goals for, only 4 scored lowest in the league and the only Div 1 team not to have yet won a game.

3.....Coaching staff...are they up to Div 1 requirements....the defence is easily turned to rubbish...no speed anywhere...example Riley is continually beaten and left floundering......Mid-field is not controlling matches and easily by passed....and finally not a natural goal scorer at the club....Carey is the nearest but when he isn't scoring or supplying others with goals we have no hope beyond a 0-0 draw.

Next week away to Charlton...which I am going to...subjected to ridicule last year by my grandson when Argyle didn't turn up....quickly giving two goals away and showing no worry to Charlton that we could make a match of it.

This year could be even worse....we can desperately play for a 0-0 draw....but we haven't the ability to achieve that....Lyle Taylor enjoys playing against Argyle and I see no reason why he wont enjoy it next Saturday.

I'm not going to dissect the game because the result says it all. We could have been 3 down in the first 15 minutes. Riley is terrible or rather was in the first half. The rest weren't much better with the exception of Songo'o and Keeper who kept us in it again. Lapado did ok without much in the way of any service. Punt it up field as hard as you can seemed to be the order of the day. Blackpool in comparison looked like Spain. The goal was a repeat of last weeks and the week before and the week before and the....................you get the drift.

Second half started exactly the same as the first. Finally Adams changed a few things. Lameiras when he came on was a breath of fresh air. He wanted the ball, was everywhere and actually passed the ball to a team mate a few times. Shock horror at that one. We created far more chances but of course Adams had taken off Lapado and brought on Taylor so the chances went begging. It perhaps shoudl have ended all square but it didn't. No luck at all at the minute. One effort in the first half I thought had gone in along with a few thousand others. Somehow it apparently didn't. Hit inside of post and went along line to the keeper's arms. No idea where a point is coming from at the minute.

Sack Adams?? We all know it isn't going to happen. Why would people want it is obvious if you are watching games. He is picking the wrong 11 to start with. Some of the player should never be in the side at all. Others are not performing. It is down to him as all of these players are his. Tactics seem stale with no plan B. He has slagged off the locals which is never a good idea. Why is there no positivity Derek? Because you are not giving them reason to have any is why. We are beginning to rely on the same rally as last season. Any bets it won't strike twice.

I don't though lyndie. I have done Saturdays at Home Park for so long now my legs automatically go in that direction. I think they call that muscle memory. Whats left of the muscles that is.

Been reading around the Argyle boards.....and there is starting to be the odd question mark asked about the quality of our backroom staff regarding defensive organization and attacking coaching....If Derek Adams is controlling the whole of our football areas....such as senior and youth football...is he spreading himself too thinly.....do we need to bring in proven coaching staff with new ideas to bring on what is lacking at present in this team....and it needs to be done soon.

PS.....I notice the attendance has dropped to 8658 yesterday....a drop of 1500 approx.....that is lost finance....and it could drop even further if we don't start winning soon.

    Will history repeat itself?

Dont think so as we had Bradley and Threlkeld then. DA now should be given some cash to spend as new players not up for it but that's the choice he only had at the time so we can't really blame the manager at the moment.

Last season was extraordinary. To repeat that would be unprecedented. Its still early days, but Argyle need to get out of the relegation zone asap as psychologically its a negative cycle which is hard to break.

I haven't got much time for the Premiership if honest BC. The standard of football might be a whole lot better than we get but to get there you have to sell your soul to the devil and anyone else who wants to steel the identity of a club. TV rules. If they say play on a Tuesday morning at 9 30am then play you do. No thought for the supporters of a club and the supporters are not even needed by the league either. It's TV, TV and TV again. My club belongs to me. Not in a I own it sort of way legally but in a lifetime of following and passion way that football supporters everywhere know. I feel almost sorry for the premier league supporters these days who have strived in a number of circumstances to achieve the highest league only to find it is no longer for them.

I've noticed that...but wasn't he out of the loop before the run started with his operation....and then told later that he wasn't being retained for this season...so he wouldn't be required to return when fit enough....a little cruel I thought....upset Brewster I think....he had worked with Adams for awhile.....replaced him with Wotton as Deputy Manager....not sure what that achieved to be honest.
