He really never had too much option with the newbies but give DA cash to spend will get the rest of the league talking as done amazing over the past few years with nothing!
Been looking at the GoS pictures of yesterdays game.....I can pick out our group....my Son, Grandson, Mrs Plym and myself in pictures No 57, 69, 71 and 72.....with a magnifying glass. As I said the place seemed empty although 10,818 supposed to be their.....there used to be 15 or more Charlton coaches from all over Kent bussing fans in....yesterday 3 plus a mini-bus and they're 6th in the league....all to do with the owner and the selling of the club.....noticeable that there was only ONE Argyle coach yesterday...confirmed by No1 of these photos.
Won't be any signings until the transfer window: free agents have been sought and not found. You've come away with a worse impression than most others that were there I think Plym. That may be because you haven't seen quite how bad we've been previously! Most think it was a bit better and that was confirmed by the radio commentary. He went with a more attacking team in an away game against one of the better teams. Perhaps that was a bit over optimistic. Interesting what you say about Lameiras. Adams has had a lot of criticism for not picking him and lo and behold, when he does play, he doesn't impress. Onward and upward. I have tickets for Doncaster..... Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Oh and PS. You are wrong about Ladapo. Maybe he had an off day but to me he's looked very promising. With Taylor's Ankle having struck again, we don't have much choice anyway. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
notDistant....I mentioned that Charlton had four players missing....more experienced players....if we couldn't beat them yesterday then I doubt if we would get near them with a full team out.....at least Lee Bowyer knows what his best team is....because of the Roland Duchatelet saga not too much changed....we know that Lyle Taylor and Darren Pratley came in but the majority of the players are the same....now Adams hasn't the foggiest idea what his best eleven is....we are certainly missing Sonny Bradley and Oscar Threlkeld and in no way has he come close to replacing them. Yesterday Ruben Lameiras just had no input worth mentioning into the game, and I can see why Adams dropped him....and I don't think he enjoys being dropped....just no up and go in the man....of course it wasn't a day for his style of football to excel. Now I know Freddie Ladapo has done well recently but not yesterday, plenty of huff and puff I grant you.... but muscled out of it and no goal threat from him....ok that might mean that others weren't doing their job and being available for lay offs....at least he doesn't seem to be injury prone like some others that we have. My impression was probably shared by quite a few who didn't travel....1013 green army suggests to me that not that many came up from Plymouth...there would of been 500/600 greens from London and the home counties at least.....remember only ONE coach parked in the reserved area for away coaches....we had to walk past it....I wondered at first if there had been a hold up on the motorway, but GoS photo No1 said that only one coach came from Plymouth....and Charlton is a good day out for many whatever the result.
I think that was in the middle of the fantastic run last season. Some Premier League Clubs don’t take 1000 away from home!
