A spectator taken out unwell from the Devonport end of the Lyndhurst. Hope it's not been all too much for Sensible. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Argyle Hall of Fame hero Rory Fallon was co-commentator BTW. A lucky mascot role beckons for our old Kiwi mucker. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Seems the spectator incident looked serious. Wish I hadn't said that now. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Well done to Plymouth hope you lot enjoy your weekend now .greeny will be on our board later I'm sure
Firstly the medical incident. It happened just below where I sit and didn't look good from the start. Medic giving CPR from the start and keeping it up for quite a while. Eventually they carried the person to the front down the steps and put them on a stretcher and rushed them away. It did not look good and I would not be shocked to learn it was fatal. I hope not. On the way up to the ground via the Barn Park entrance to the park there was another incident where somebody had collapsed. The Ambulance came down the lane as we were walking up. No idea how that turned out but talk about one of those days. The match itself was not the greatest in the world but the result was everything. Argyle matched Wimbledon in the first half and it could have gone either way without a load of chances to either side. Lapado had the best where he was through with acres of space and only the keeper to beat. He took so much time he failed to get a shot off in the end much to the displeasure of the crowd. In the second half I thought Argyle were the better side. The goal was well carried out. Lapado finishing it off from about a foot out but his reaction said it all. He went absolutely berserk with joy. The goal was nothing more than Argyle deserved. Casey pulled off a point blank save from Jervis of all people. He had no right to save it really but he did. They all played better today without ripping up trees. MOM for me was Songo yet again. He is having one hell of a season so far and has been head and shoulders above the rest for me. We are off the bottom and it was no fluke. The crowd backed the players today so Adams can have no complaints. They didn't always deserve the cheers but they got them all the same. Happy tonight for a change.
Firstly , and most importantly, the supporter who was treated in the stand regained consciousness in the medical room and was then transported to Derriford- we all wish him well. The game to be honest was a fairly dire affair, and am just grateful that we managed to grab a justified winner. Four points from 6 and with Oxford on Saturday, we might just start climbing the table!
Glad to hear that lyndie. News flash...........we have started climbing the league. The one thing I forgot to mention previously though was the crowd today or rather size of it. About 1800 short of what had become normal. I'm not surprised at this and thought it might have happened a lot sooner if honest. The trouble is a lot of them find something else to do on a Saturday and won't come back. More fans lost because of the standard of the football on offer. If we are to continue going forward then the crowds need to be there so the Board should be ultra conscious of numbers.
