    Preview;
These sides had very different nights on Tuesday, with Rangers putting on a good display to see off Sheffield Wednesday 3-0, while Villa lost 2-1 at Norwich. After that result, Villa are three places and two points behind us in 16th place. We'll have to watch out on Friday night for Tammy Abraham and Jonathan Kodjia who both have four goals already this year. However, we now have Freeman, Eze and Hemed all on three each, and a win on Friday night would see us move up to 7th, albeit only until games are played on Saturday. Another win, and Mclaren continuing his current turning around of the teams fortunes, and things could start to look very promising for this season going forward. Don't want to get over excited though.

Villa have now won one in four, and the once European Champions are not looking set for an easy season after missing out on promotion last year despite reaching the playoffs. Under the lights, live on Sky, I really hope we put on another good show against these so called 'big boys.'

    From the official:
QPR take on Aston Villa tonight hoping to make it three wins from three games and cap an almost perfect October for Steve McClaren’s side.

The R’s, who comprehensively beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 during the week, will be looking to continue their fine month against an Aston Villa side still finding their feet under a new manager.

The last time the two sides met QPR put in what was probably their best performance of the year in an excellent 3-1 victory at Villa Park, which destabilised our opponent’s automatic promotion push.

The side from the Midlands had to then settle for a play-off place and were defeated 1-0 by Fulham in the final.

Truthfully they have probably not yet fully recovered from that and despite keeping manager Steve Bruce for the first quarter of the season, Villa opted to make a change earlier this month.

Dean Smith is now the man in charge, having done a fine job at keeping Brentford competitive during the last few years. A self-confessed Villa fan – Smith seems to have the full backing of an impatient but enormous fan-base.

A win would see Villa overtake QPR in the league table, so there’s much to play for this evening with very little to separate the teams at the top and bottom of the Championship.

And Villa will know they have performed well at Loftus Road since their relegation to this division back in 2016 – with QPR beaten on both occasions in the last couple of campaigns.

    COME ON YOU R'ssss!!!!

Sadly I will not be able to follow this match due to family obligations

I am intrigued on McClaren’s first team selection. Will he field the same team that has won the last two matches? Or will he opt for changes?

Whoever he choses, I that hope that they play as well as of late.

    COYR’s!!!!

Cameron may struggle to play again so soon.
If so, Scowan in for him, although I prefer Cameron in there.

Cameron was knackered after about an hour on Tuesday and really should have been subbed. Can't see him playing tomorrow.

McClaren doesn't seem to like Scowen in that DM role. When he comes on as sub he plays higher up as just a nuisance. Unless Hall is fit, there might be no other option, though.

Same start 11 again for me if all are fit, and same or further improved performance please. Hope for higher volume from our support before we score too.

I think there has to be changes for this game but I hope we keep the formation with as few personnel changes as possible.

If Cameron is out, let Luongo move into that role and bring in Scowen to do the harassing.

Eze shouldn't really be that tired compared to some.

Wszolek shouldn't really be that knackered either.

Cousins may have to come in for someone, I suspect. Maybe actually Luongo himself.

Wells to start instead of Hemed?

I'd like Wells instead of Hemed. They're very different types of player, but Wells is simply a better footballer and will score more goals in the long run.

I would like him to start with the team that started on Tuesday. It is a hard choice between Hemed and Wells and would not argue with either of them, they both deserve the position (great thing to say for a change).

I would like him to play Cameron for as long as possible (60minutes) and then bring on Scowen
What I fear is that if Cameron cannot play, that he won't play Scowen Col but will play Cousins....now that would be bad against Villa.

Agreed. Hemed will score some but he's literally waiting for the right ball.

Wells can apparently create for others as well as himself.

Only if you're prepared to be hung from the nearest tree by it

Possibly the most ridiculous idea in football in the last few years

The scarf that is - not Kiwi

The only half and half scarf I'd want Queens Park one side Rangers the other, next time I'm in Scotland I will look for one
