Cameron Sangster has broken an ankle playing in the Central League South game on Tuesday.....he only came on as a 70th minute sub and slipped.....could be out for up to 4 months.

I met young Cameron today. My wife had to go to Derriford for her third eye injection in a series and when it was over we went outside and sat on a bench for a while, A young man with a cast on his leg came and asked if he could sit down on the bench. My missus being a nosey mare asked him what he had done to his leg and he told her he broke his ankle playing football. I asked him if it was with Argyle remembering the report of a lad limping off against Bristol and I just had a feeling. It was indeed him and a very pleasant young man he was as well. Gutted at the injury which he said was caused by him going down and twisting it. He tried to get right back up and he heard it snap. The thought of not playing for months is not what a lad wants to hear but at the minute he seems in good spirits. Whether he will when the others are playing and he isn't andd he can only do physio remains to be seen. I wished him well in his career and the bus then turned up and we left. Credit to his parents and a very polit e. I did tell him that I hear good things about him so hope one day he will make the step up.

Further to this.....The proposed sale has collapsed.....FA members have blocked the sale to Shadid Khan.....so he has withdrawn his offer.

The FA are now moaning about the £millions that they could of put in to grass roots football....they'll have to find another way without selling off the crown jewels.....idiots.

He genuinely is a very pleasant and mature young man- his injury probably couldn't have come at a worse time but I am sure/hope he will come through it okay .

Absolutely Lyndy as I said he comes across as a genuinely good lad and I too genuinely hope his career takes off.

What are our chances of beating Stevenage in round one even though it's a home draw. They currently sit 10th in league two with a points tally we could only dream of.

That competition doesn't count for anything Plym. I wouldn't use it as a guide anyway. The only thing I see is current form and our's is non existant "at this minute in time".

Brent's probably thinking bugger it never blows a gale when you want it to. He'll have to pay for it to happen now. Still only another 2 days and he can make plans for his complete escape with his bucket of pennies.

At the request of James Brent, his daughter Natasha Brent, 22 years old, has been added to the Board of Directors.....what experience does she bring to the Board other than it sounds as if nepotism rules.
I cannot for the life of me see how this can look anything but James Brent keeping a family member on the board whilst he continues to sail off into the sunset and maybe pass his 30% share holding over to her care.....no I don't believe he would do that.....that would go against what we've seen of him in the 7 years he has been a director.

I wonder what other directors think about this situation....finding an ex-Exeter University girl lifted to the rank of a Director.....that now gives us three women on the board.....including some of the men there is hardly any football knowledge between them.

Well it doesn't look like anything else does it plym. But, they are the major shareholders so if they want to put a half trained chimp on the panel then there is diddly carp anything we can do about it. Are you including the manager in the "hardly any football knowledge" bit? If truth be known he wants somebody, anybody on the Board to watch over his 30% and give him the nod if any other bits of land and things become available.

Here we go. Where's my parrot costume?

It's not the role of a board of directors to manage day to day activities. Their duties are governance and compliance, strategic planning, financial planning and management and public relations.

In most of those areas they have statutory and regulatory duties imposed on them and satisfying them is their most important task.

So they don't actually need to know much about football but need general business experience.

It's often a problem when the board do interfere in operational management of the team. Look what happens in many cases when a Director of Finance figure is inserted between the board and the coach or worse still, when the chairman starts picking the team.

Having said that, this is an odd move. She has been fronting for James Brent on social media for a while but that's just the PR bit really.

Ultimately, the board on a private company like Argyle votes on their percentage ownership so Brent could have his entire family on the board and what Hallett says would still go.

Brent said in the paper this week that he intended to leave the board when Hallett took the majority holding so as to leave Hallett in a clear position of control. Hallett apparently asked him to stay but this looks like a transitional arrangement with his daughter picking up the reins of the family shares before her father steps down.

There is of course the question of whether there's another reason Brent is stepping back. Other business pressures? Phased retirement? Health?

Some pasoti posters moaning about this appointment.....but generally most posters tugging their forlocks and coming up with puking un-original comments about how good it is to have a young women on the board. Brownie points seems to be the order of the day for most boot licking pasoti lap-dogs.....quick pass me the bowl....:emoticon-0141-whew:.
