As long as the local police give you a crime number you'll be alright.....don't be selfish and expect them to investigate your house being trash or your car being stolen....or you being relieved of your wallet and other valuables at knife point on the street.....don't you realize that young man needs a knife to defend himself against those other youngsters carrying knives.

It happened within moments . Another female officer (men are barred from this debate it seems) has stressed how important it is police take seriously the terrible harm a wolf whistle or an unguarded compliment on a female's appearance can do.

NOW THE... EU-WORDS POLICE... BAN MANKIND AND MANPOWER IN GENDER 'NONSENSE'.

Eurocrats were under fire last night for secretly banning words such as "mankind" and "stewardess" in translated documents.

Last month staff in Brussels and Strasburg were given a new handbook entitled...Gender Neutral Language In The European Parliament.

They were told "to reduce as much as possible the use of gender-specific terms" and avoid references to "women or men".

Examples include replacing "Chairman" with Chair or Chairperson", "policeman or policewoman" with "police officer" and "spokesman" by "spokesperson".

The article waffles on for several more paragraphs.

    AXED TERMS (AND EU ALTERNATIVES)
    1.....Stewardess.....Flight Attendant.
    2.....Headmaster.....Director or Principal.
    3.....Chairman.....Chair or Chairperson.
    4.....Mankind.....Humanity.
    5.....Manpower.....Staff.
    6.....Frenchman.....French Person.
    7.....Statesman.....Political Leader.
    8.....Committee of wise men.....Advisory Panel.

Ms is preferred over Miss or Mrs "unless it is known that the person referred to specifically wants to be referred by one of those titles".

My thoughts.....Political correctness rules the EU world.

Plym! Goodness me, this has been going on in the UK for several years, did you miss it? No need of the EU, they are probably following our example.

I appreciate it's not racial rather than gender orientated but my other half told me last week that they'd been instructed not to allow "baa baa black sheep" in the school where she works. The acceptable version is "baa baa rainbow sheep". No, seriously. Now I'd always rather assumed that black sheep were originally unpopular because their wool was of little of no value but damn me, it turns out to be race hatred. Who'd have guessed?

What gets me is factions deliberately draw attention to themselves these days so that they hope, and I'm sure that is what they do, that somebody will say something or do something they can make a fuss about. Frankly I don't care if somebody is gay in any form or description male or female , likes animals, is a vegan, a veggie or is any colour of the rainbow. None of it matters a jot. What I do care about is any of them emphasising what they are to me when I have no interest and. I wouldn't express an opinion on any of it if I wasn't confronted with things all the time and invited to say something. The secret of not being offended is not to ask for an opinion in the first place. Just do what you do in the privacy of your own home and if it's a case of race then don't use words you don't want me to use and act like a person rather than a colour. Kids never notice colour in other kids. They just see another kid. Pity the grown ups couldn't do the same.

1.....Having fled the scene of the crime, David Cameron is mulling a return to politics.

The ex-PM is bored with life outside Downing Street and fancies being Foreign Secretary.

While the country has been left reeling from his disastrous spell in office, he has been sitting in his £25,000 shed with his trotters up.

If he wants a cure for his boredom, he could volunteer at one of the four foodbanks in his former Witney,Oxon, constituency.

When he sees the lasting damage he caused when running the country, he may rethink any plans for a comeback.

My thoughts.....After running away from the referendum result....I'm surprised he's even living in this country.

2.....Prince Charles has taken to doing rain dances when there are long dry spells.

We should not be surprised...he has spent years waiting for reign.

    My thoughts.....Ho, Ho, Ho.

Cartoon in the Times today, Cameron is being interviewed:

"Why do you want to join us? " "I'm bored"
"What would you say is your greatest weakness?" "I get bored easily"
"And your strength?" "I don't like being bored"

    You get the picture......

Shouldn't have allowed a referendum and we wouldn't be in this mess.

Watching the news tonight and could not believe the film shown about the Grenfell Tower bonfire celebration on it. What is the matter with some people? Ok, if you have a strong opinion about immigration and express it that's one thing but to find the deaths of all of those people which included a number of kids to be a joke and somethng to ridicule is beyond any comprehension I could have. Given it was put on social media then they are going to get named and shamed. Hopefully prosecuted as well. They deserve anything that comes their way.

I saw the first part of the video on social media posted by someone saying how disgusting it was. Couldn't and wouldn't watch the rest. There were little cardboard people at the windows. Coloured brown. What is this country coming to?

Last Saturday as usual topped up with petrol....nothing unusual about that....running the length of the nearby two bays was an artic petrol tanker....I assumed that he was delivering petrol....but no he wasn't.....he was filling up the artics own petrol tank (diesel obviously)....so tongue in cheek I said to him.....run out of petrol then.....yes, was the reply....I've had to stop to refuel....oh I said, no petrol then....embarrassingly I hadn't filled up before I left the depot he said.....although I've got 6000 gallons on board at the moment....we had a good laugh about it and went our separate ways.....I had a grin on my face for the next half hour.

Where could I have parked it for the years and years that would be needed to use it all up......or having an endless queue of cars outside with me selling cheap petrol, would have drawn attention eventually.....just think when you last saw a 6000 gallon tanker parked on someones driveway.

Never thought of that plym. I'd better get rid of mine then. I did tell people it was to feed the central heating.

They will only believe you if you've got oil central heating.....petrol don't work anyway....they get suspicious when you order 6000 one gallon jerry cans.

Don't tell Joe but I can't aford Central Heating..................I've seen his prices. I'd have to starve or at least not feed her indoors. I normally nick the local bonfire and that lasts me a few months. Burn it in a waste paper basket and it does the job. Think us pension people need a pay rise myself.
