One of my grandaughters is 11 years old but doesn't like football much. The other one is 10 and she does. So she likes football and is a she. I propose she pops a letter off to Argyle to offer her services. Oh and she is a whiz with electronic gadgets and social media. Did I mention she also looks great in a parrot outfit.

Just been watching a video of altercation between Jason Heath 38, is father Raymond 67 and his two nephews 14 and 16 that they had with stewards during the Gillingham game on Oct 23rd....they were eventually ejected from the stadium and when they turned up for the Sunderland match were refused entry.

It seems the problem was that the 14 year old walked along the seats to get easy exit to go to the toilet.....who then was grabbed by a steward, the family claim that the steward manhandled the 14 year old....Jason Heath without using any bad language tried to reason with the stewards, but was with his family eventually pushed out by the stewards.....fans around that area gave the stewards a few choice words....PAFC will look into the situation....the family have been long standing supporters and season ticket holders.....it did seem that the stewards were making a mountain out of a mole hill and caused more disruption for other fans trying to watch the game....looked so unnecessary.

Hard to tell obviously.... the phone hadn't started recording when the problem started.....but comments on pasoti suggest that they weren't a problem family.

    ps....Check for yourself on pasoti.

I saw that video last night. Have to say it is always difficult to tell what the full story is. My own experience is that at times some of the Stewards leave a bit to be desired. On the other hand sometimes the person being spoken to hardly covers theselves with glory either. I find that the vast majority of Stewards are fine and have a decent raport with the crowd. Not heavy handed and ask things rather than instruct but with a smile on their face. Occasionally there is one who seems not to get the concept of crowd control and really pushes things beyond the necessary. They seem more intent on enforcing power than controlling a problem they think they've seen. Whilst not what I would do, I think if his worst crime was to stand on a few seats to get out of a row of people then it isn't the most hideous crime of the century. A simple please don't stand on the seats would or should have fixed it. Maybe it wasn't as simple as that though and not being witness to it makes a judgement a bit hard to get right.

I hope Man C didn't give Raheem Sterling a new £300,000 per week contract on the strength of the penalty he won the other night.

I watched that incident on a video yesterday evening. There is a thread on the Gillingham board about it under the heading of dictionary definition and the definition bit is about what is cheating. Thing is he didn't claim a penalty but was given it by the Ref. His Manager said that if he had said something that would have been ok. He added though that Raheem gets fouled so many times and doesn't get a penalty that he implies to take one cheaply is ok. My opinion is that most of the population who take notice of football thinks Sterling is a diver or more a serial diver. To restore any credibility for himself all he had to do was say to the Ref it wasn't and he hadn't even been touched. If the Ref insisted on a penalty then again all they had to do was chip it to the keeper. Nope, Sterling says nothing and the player who took it scored and whats more meant to. Although Sterling was fairly innocent in this originally he now looks a bit of a cheat and has even less credibility than he had before.

Surprised nobody has mentioned this so far. Ladapo has been voted League one player of the month for October. Think he did well so deserves his award. Lets hope there isn't a curse that goes with it.

Having listened to the chat and watched the video....my conclusion is that.....the 14 year old trying to get out of his row found it easier to step over onto another rows vacant seats to gain an exit.....the steward grabbed him and the lad didn't take kindly to the steward doing that so tried to break free....which then escalated into a bit of a struggle which made the steward lose his cool....he didn't seem able to calm down and stuck to the letter of the law....causing far more trouble than what the action of the boy had caused....the stewards number was plain to see for those that need to follow it up....but chucking this "Argyle family" out at the next Sunderland game is definitely over the top.....it was suggested that this happened in view of the directors "box" (is that Blk 14) and the steward didn't want to be seen as being soft in front of them...that was mentioned on pasoti.

Not as it seems it seems. I have also heard that it had nothing to do with the boy stepping over seats and more to being told he had to sit down more than once. The father then intervened with a tirade of language fit for the gutter and it was then that the filming started conveniently missing out most of what had gone before. The filming started when they were told to leave.

That would change things a bit....a few on pasoti were willing to give him a good character reference.

Yeah wish I put a tenner on it being Block 14 where there's an ongoing tussle between the club and a group of fans insisting on standing: the so called Zoo Corner group.
