Big game on Saturday (aren't they all now) at home against bottom club Bradford.....team needs to pick themselves up having got knocked out of the Cup and missing the opportunity of a 3rd round financial bonanza.....could have done with the money.

Reading PAFC website this morning Adams said the following...."We were very good, we were the better team and had double the chances that Oxford had,"

"They are obviously very fortunate to go through to the third round of the FA Cup....because we controlled good spells of the game".

What he didn't say was that our 'chances' only resulted in two on target and Oxford had three on target.

His 'we were very good, we were the better team' comments ring a little hollow and are starting to sound a repeat of many of are defeats this season.

Someone on pasoti has done the maths....we have won 5 matches in all competitions out of 32 games played.

I reckon 90% of managers would have been shown the door by now....why not Adams....is it because he has got a strangle hold on everything football at Home Park and things would fall apart without him.

No one is that indispensable....we've only got another 26 games to rustle up something like another 40 pts....which is literally play-off form.

FA CUP third round....we would have been away to Brentford if we had beaten Oxford.

Harry Burgoyne has returned from his broken ankle in an U21 game for Wolves.

He is still on loan to us for the season and it seems we have been paying is wages during his recovery time....not sure when he will returning....maybe for the new year.

If we are paying him why did he play for Wolves? We should send them a bill. Bleddy cheek.

I assume they wont release him back to us until they are happy with his fitness.....as you say sensible...we should charge them or get a discount.

I don't get that. If we are still paying his wages and he is loaned to us for the season then he is Our player for that duration not their's. It should not be a case of them assess him playing wise it should be ours. Lets face it we are not going to throw him into the mixer if he isn't fit are we. Why would Adams want to cock up any players future and Argyle's chances of further loans from around the country by being a pillock. If it became known we had done that then nobody on this planet would lend us any player ever again. As for them playing him in a match, what happens if he gets injured again playing for them? Do we still continue to pay his wages even though the mother team has gotten him unplayable. We haven't got money to just throw away so my answer would be feck off and play one of your own, send him back where he is being paid and we will give him games to get fit in.

I expect it's the same conditions regarding Macey....so if Burgoyne proves to be the better keeper does that mean Macey will be No2 even though we have Letheren and a good youngster in Cooper hardly getting any playing time between them ?

In most (all?) loan agreements there is a clause about playing non 1st team football for the parent club. Sometimes it is allowed, and sometimes it isn't. When it isn't allowed, but the player is recovering from injury at his parent club and they think he would benefit from playing in their reserves, then there is the opportunity to have a discussion, and if agreed, amend the loan contract.

I'd still send them a bill.

Macey isn't a season long loan plym so he will be off after Christmas. Can't say I'll be sorry if honest. No saying he is terrible but we have had better.

I was thinking of going to the AFC Wimbledon game at Kingston-Upon-Thames....but it's on Boxing Day and there will be no public transport.

Nice to meet up with the London supporters at such a time....the only way to get there would be to drive....and I don't ever drive if I might be having a drink.

Driving 22 miles across South London can take up to two hours......and the day after Christmas might not be a good time to do it after celebrating the day before.

So it looks like I'll be giving it a miss....Argyle generally do well at Wimbledon when I'm there....but sorry lads you'll have to do it without me this year.

I've also noticed that the Gillingham game is on Good Friday another Bank holiday....the web timetable only covers the next three months.....but I think that there will possible be a Sunday time table for that match.

That's not so sensible.....Matt Macey is here on a season long loan.....I've just checked it out and more than one websites says he's here all season.

I would think Lindy could confirm that one way or the other.

It seems that Harry Burgoyne's season long loan has been cancelled by mutual consent and he will continue his return to fitness at his parent club Wolves.

Derek Adams has said the Gary Sawyers ankle has mended and he expects him to be joining in training for the first time today or tomorrow.

Derek Adams has identified the positions he needs to strengthen and has already got a list of targets.

That sounds a little familiar.....isn't that what he said in the summer ?

Talk that Stuart O'keefe has returned to Cardiff with a niggling injury.....the thought is he might not be coming back.
