Does anyone really expect anything of any value that out "civic " leaders plan or enact , another shambles from a history of shambolic events , never mind this time next year the Kingsway will be ,
in the same state it is now so there's no need to get your hopes up it'll be any better .

I'm 72 now and was 21 when they started the road works in the centre of Swansea. I'm hoping to live for a few more years yet but don't expect them to be finished in my lifetime

I cant remember a time when there wasn't road works on the Kingsway. The money that must have been wasted on constant changes to the traffic system in the city centre must have been astronomical, could have bought the swans with what they have wasted, luckily for us they didn't current owners or Swansea council, both sets are ****ing idiots.

Llanelli does a good Christmas procession and a very good firework display afterwards. Head West!

What a disgrace our councillors are no matter what side of the political divide they're from , What's happened to a once vibrant city centre , shameful .All that's going to be left are student accommodation and a smattering of pubs ,great if you're in education and a piss head

If you're a student, you ARE a piss-head. What's the point otherwise. Rite of passage and all that.

But I reckon the last time Swansea City Centre was vibrant was when that earthquake happened. But you are correct, it was just that once!!!

I had a house in Mumbles that I rented out to students. Six years down the road, having dealt with 30 morons, plus their adoring mummies, I decided enough was enough.
" Piss head " would be the kindest thing I could say about them.
Students should be housed in vast underground concrete bunkers, and only allowed out to attend classes.

If Swansea had had the sort on money pumped into it as Cardiff has then I'm sure it would just as vibrant but that's for another debate

It would certainly be a very interesting debate anf maybe one worth having one day. it's a sad fact that any capital city will never reflect the rest of the country of which it is the capital. It will also attract the majority of funding. At the same time, I hear that Carmarthen has turned itself round and created a very attractive and attracting town centre.
