Match Day Thread versus Shrewsbury

I thought about leaving this thread to Plym again as he had more luck with the result than I normally do. But, then I though nah, bleddy beginners luck is all it was.

So, here we go for a Tuesday night game. Glad it's not home as we will have 3 Saturdays on the trot at Home counting yesterday as the first. I was reminded by a Shrew (no not Mrs Sensible) that they were instrumental in kick starting our mega charge up the league last season. We went there and got a result and off we went. Would have been around this time of the season as well but I'm not about too fall into the trap of it becoming a habit. Gonna be a hard one with neither of us firing on all cylinders currently. They have according to the Shrew a poor Defence. Well so did OJ Simson and he got away with it. We have an equally poor defence so this scoreline could be anything. Anyone for a 0 - 0 then?

Well what we have had are a couple of wallopings by the likes of Luton which push up goals conceded.

Doesn't mean Shrewsbury are going to be able to score 5....

Na....taming of the Shrews tonight if we survive the first 10mins. Just watch they will have lots attempts on goal in that time just like all our opposition do for some reason. Why not us for a change!

 

I'm off out this evening for a couple of hours so I am relying on you lot to keep the score the right way and not let anything untoward happen. Plym you're in charge. At least you get a lie in BC. In fact you can watch whilst having brunch.

 

You'll have to buy yourself an i-phone or one like notDistant and spend all evening checking it.....you could glue it to your left-hand and pretend your a teenager..

Just got back and see we are 2 - 0 down. Can't bleddy trust you lot with anything can I. Sort yourselves out for christ sake. That applies to both yourselves and Argyle.

 

Come on Argyle you can do better than this for god sake. The stats the beeb are showing are terrible.

What I've read is dire stuff.

 

Shrewsbury are one of the teams we need to get above...not on this showing.....finishing 20th at the moment seems to be beyond this lot....and reading some of the comments from elsewhere you wonder what they're doing in training each week....seems that there was no cohesion and no signs of organization on the pitch.

Lapado seemed to be unsupported up front all by himself......and when Carey and Taylor came on nothing really changed.....and then it was 2-0 and all over.

Surely this group of players should be better than 22nd.....is it a coaching problem, do we need new coaching ideas....new coaches maybe.

I don't fancy our chances in the cup this weekend.....Oxford put 4 past Rochdale tonight....can we stop them scoring 4 again....who knows.

PS.....I see Exeter hit the depths tonight....losing 1-0 at home to Macclesfield of all teams.....who are bottom of Div 2.....holding up the whole of the F L in 72nd place.

 

Watching the game on the computer to see Argyle try and try but never really look like scoring.

For me it's back to getting up early for the cup game on Sat.
