Have been watching NUFC since the early 1960’s and I am seriously struggling to think of any other player in that entire time who was so lightweight and so easy to knock off the ball than Perez. I am open to suggestions but for now that’s one crown he has won in my book.

He was a real prospect I think he's lost confidence and the way we play doesn't suit him.

He's 25 years old so realistically he won't improve. Looked good a few years ago but has regressed terribly. He's too soft and inconsistent.

I blame the fans for this but I wish we'd kept thauvin .

I can't help wondering that if wed given him a chance maybe in his best position he'd be good enough to get in our side.

There's no wondering about it. He would have been. Wrong manager, wrong time.

Perez is a proper ****ing fanny. He is the absolute worst player because he has some technical ability but his application is shocking.

It’s that stupid jog that annoys me the most. Look when we go forward he should be busting a gut to get in the box but he trots along with his heels kicking his arse like ****ing bambi.

Shocking that he earns circa 40k a week.

I think half the time its his ****ing 'run before the run' thing he does.

At football I was handy at taking players on (couldn't shoot for **** mind) and a lot of it to me was almost waiting for the defender to make his move before you makes yours. Perez doesn't do that, he runs instantly towards players and then looks to turn. That's is pathetically predictable for a prem player who's done his homework on you. Every time they know to wait for the blind alley and just barge him off the ball before he gets his turn off.
There are players with less strength than Perez in this league that play some incredible football. It's about his choices consistently highlighting his weakness for me. The good players feed off space and he seems to want to desperately get near a defender to produce a useless turn every time.

I want him to become good. He seems a nice lad but he is clearly weak.

Ah the good old Newcastle lose blame Perez thread!

Missed two good chances but then what about our main man Mr Rondon? No chances? No fluffs? The guy who people were arse licking after 2 goals in one match?
    Kenedy once again missing.
Ritchie as per usual was all huff and bluster
Diame - bang below par as well
Ki - not as good as the previous few games.

So we are blaming the link between the striker and midfield when both were and are ****e? Great!

Ps - yes Perez has stagnated and is no longer potential but more of an enigma but he does far more most of the time than anyone else is the opposition half.

But then again a lot of our fans are now slating Shelvey (I said this a long time ago and was slated as he was the saviour at that time) as Ki played well for a few games. People are now slating Lascelles because he is injured and prior to this game we won 3 games so it must have been Lascelles who was the **** link. Oh and he is a **** captain <doh>

Perez is a good bottom half of the PL player. Oh hang on a second and we are a bottom half of the PL club.

What thread blaming Perez for the defeat? Have you read my post? I haven’t even mentioned yesterday’s game. Whilst you’re re-reading the first post are you able to name any other NUFC player in your time who was/is easier to knock off the ball than Perez?
