Put me down for this one....Might be train for me, leaving Paragon at 11.23 or so and getting there for 13.35 (just in time for a swift one), then back on the 17.58.

I'm heading down for this one. Can't wait, due to work I haven't been since the opening game. I'm sure Mclean is hoping for a start, but he might have to put up with a place on the bench with Waghorn's arrival.

I know it's hardly Ideal timing but you might as well! I will even meet you during the game so you can stand next to someone in the terracing ;)

As I said, no good return trips :emoticon-0120-doh:

13 hours would be pretty hardcore :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I really am embarrassed by how **** the British rail network is at times that you can't get from one fairly large build up area to another at 6pm on a Saturday evening for less then £50.

and the only sodding reason that train is 13 hours long is because it misses the last train from Birmingham by 5 ****ing minutes otherwise you could have done all this for 26 quid and you would be laughing! what a joke. I'm off to bed haha

Actually on the trainline if you do the search that Bev did and click the hyperlink to search for cheaper fares, you can get a single out from Peterborough at 17:50ish that takes 3hrs 2mins with a change at Birmingham New St for £10.

I tried to combine it as a return and the cheapest was £47.50. Don't ask me why but two singles comes in at £20!
