Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has equalled Sir Matt Busby's all-time record of winning his first five league games in charge of Manchester United.
I'll break the mould and answer seriously. I suspect only Liverpool, and possibly Wolves, fans will be as happy with their season as most Watford fans are. Sure we have lost games we thought we could win but definitely won games we should have lost or drawn. But it's mid January, we are realistically six points from safety and the only teams ahead of us right now are ones we wouldn't really expect to finish above - and for me personally there's plenty below us that I thought would be above us. More than that, the team is playing well, the atmosphere around the club is fantastic and the players' attitudes are by and large excellent. We are having a brilliant season and I am loving every minute of it.
Mixed bag for Arsenal. We've improved on last season, albeit slightly. We went 22 games unbeaten in the first half of the season and we've begun to move the club forward in terms of shaking off the old structure under Wenger. But the old defensive frailties still persist and we are soft as **** when teams really go at us. Also whilst we've restructured the club, we have an owner who won't put one penny of his own money into the squad. I don't think we're going to get top 4 this season, so that means another season without CL money. If we're not careful, we could slip further behind and find ourselves out of the top 4 for many years to come.
We are in the Carabou cup final,2nd in the PL giving the bindips false hope before we hunt them down like dogs,Schalke in last 16 of CL,in fa cup with home tie to Burnley next, already won the mighty community shield giving Chelsea an utter fisting,u21s are in the last 8 of the Checkatrade trophy and the women are top of the league It’s going ok
Didn't expect to be top, thought we might put in a half hearted challenge should everything fall right but never really a true challenger. Expected us too go out both cups early because Klopp doesn't seem to like them. Having seem the CL group draw, I thought we could scrape through a tough group, we did exactly that. So, more or less what I expected bar in the league were we're over exceeding my expectations. Still think Man City will win it.
Ralph Hassenhuttl has arrived on his white horse to rescue Saints hitherto atrocious season. Confident that we have unearthed a gem of a manager who has every chance of keeping a mediocre squad in the PL, before hopefully rebuilding in the summer. And we’re still in the FA Cup, at least until Wednesday.
