Adkins is 25/1. Not going to happen, but worth keeping an eye on. Farke at Norwich would be an interesting choice. Although his name does bring back memories of that Dad's Army episode "The Two and a Half Feathers", where Jones is describing his trip through the desert at the Battle of Omdurman. "Turn back, turn back! Said the old Farkah"
Götterdämmerung I prefer Chopin's version of the funeral march: Statue next to Harold Wilson outside the station ?
He's done an amazing job there and even this season, considering what he has to work with. I'd really doubt that that team would do much good in this division either. Solidly poor who got promotion smash and grab style. I'd be shocked if Allardyce took the job. He can't be hard up and would he really want to tarnish his record at this stage?
They got promoted with a negative goal difference, fair play to him for that, not many teams can ever have done that. Like most promoted teams they fail to realise season 2 is harder than season 1in the PL, as the adrenalin's gone and unless better players are brought in, the same rousing team speech doesn't cut it anymore.
Promotion to the Premier League so often turns out to be a poisoned chalice - it's tough on Wagner who has done well with relatively limited resources and comes across as a decent bloke.
Give it Harry rednappy. I hate Huddersfield and would gladly watch the slide to oblivion which would be inevitable under thatcockney tool
