And Cardiff are about to unveil Sala for £20m.

Both bad news for our survival hopes.

But the fat **** doesn’t care.

Always makes me think of one of my favourite films ever, Apocalypse Now.

I'm a bit confused. Are we blaming Wagner's sacking on Ashley?

Yes, clearly! Didn't you know that he spent £50M on them getting promoted.

I'd like to get Wagner in if Rafa goes - good football, Klopp link, young progressive manager

He's a bit risky though. He has only had one proper management job and its ended up with him leaving. You could argue he's had as much money as Rafa in terms of pure spend. He hasn't been able to deliver what they need and is now stressed from fighting relegation and being under pressure. he doesn't sound like a good fit for Ashley, regardless of doubts about his ability.

Now Marcelo Gallardo on the other hand...

Really? I guess 2 Copa Libertadores and 1 Copa Sudamericana amongst the league titles etc, count for very little in the cut and thrust world of polishing David Wagner. I mean the fact its coupled with a modern style from the same school as Bielsa, Martino, Pochettino, Simeone, is irrelevant too. Open your minds lads, you are starting to sound as closed off as Neil Warnock <doh>

He won things in Argentina with one of the biggest clubs there....... big deal.

I would think that not only getting Huddersfield in to the PL then keeping them up pretty much equates to this.

    Either way we have Rafa.

<laugh> Aye the South American CL is easy to win. Just like winning the championship.

By the way I'm not doing down Wagner's achievement. What he did to get Huddersfield out of there is a great effort. If you look through history of that club, you quickly realise he has done really well.

Gallardo is the most decorated manager in River Plates history. He has achieved more international honours than the club had done in its whole history before him. So he has achieved more internationally in 4 years than River Plate have managed in their history. The best clubs from Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia etc compete. These countries have historically produced some of the finest footballers to grace the planet. Make no mistake, its every bit as tough to win as our CL. He's no cheque book manager either, he's done it mainly through fantastic coaching.

Wagner is ok but he is no Marcelo Gallardo. He is also mentally too weak (not meant in nasty way) to work under a **** like Ashley.
