Happy indeed but that first 15 mins all teams try the long range shots against us....strange! Hope DA was grinning like a Cheshire cat to Ferguson at the end...lol.

He can't complain anyway. Edwards was pushed in the chest and perhaps he could have stood up, it's arguable. But he made no pretence of being hurt and the idiot did it 2 feet from the ref when already on a yellow card.

A good game to watch from here. Argyle deserved the win. Pushing clear of the drop zone.

Question:- Why can't they turn up every game? Clearly they are capable so what is it that makes them turn into a load of nobodies at times? It's just plain weird. I don't expect them to win every game but it's the lack of effort that I don't get.

Next up is Portsmouth now that should be a good one. As you say if they turn up.

Just watched a few highlights. Firstly excellent and well taken goal by Lameiras. He certainly has found the net this season.

Second thing is the red card incident. The highlights didn't show the first yellow for his assault on Carey. That has been described as a red on it's own but as I haven't seen it I can't judge. However, it clearly shows him pushing his forearm across Edwards chest quite hard in my opinion. Now, if that was in a pub on a Friday night there is no way it would have knocked Edwards on his backside. I do not think Edwards was off balance either. But, he had just been booked and looked well stoked up and he meant what he did. You cannot raise your arm to another player like that. The Ref got that one spot on. Had Edwards not gone down then would the Ref have given it? $64k question. It's the players own fault as his manager acknowledges.

If he was a good Ref then it makes a bloody change. I can't judge him as I've only seen that one incident and I can't argue with what he did. Next weekend I would like a homer Ref for a change as I don't think I've seen one at Home Park for a very long time. We must be due and it would go a hell of a long way to winding up Pompey.

The challenge on Carey is in the clippette on GOS. Definite yellow.

What isn't shown there is on the iFollow video. In the immediate aftermath of that challenge, Edwards and Tomlin engage their foreheads and kind words are spoken. So when it came to Tomlin's second yellow, there had already been some aggravation between the two of them.

What I didn't register from the snippet I saw on Twitter yesterday is that the coming together that saw Tomlin sent off is actually between Tomey and Edwards. Tomlin was not only daft enough to push Edwards right in front of the ref but also to get involved in a dispute he played no part in. Idiot.

I cannot understand how Ivan Toney didn't get at least a booking for his man-handling of Ryan Edwards....he got him around the neck and hauled him down. Then he became very aggressive towards Edwards and close up in his face....why wasn't he at least yellow carded.

I've just watched the highlights clip on GoS. The original yellow for Tomlin was for a nasty challenge which I agree with Adams could have been a red on it's own. He clearly meant it. The second one though is very clear on their highlight and appears different to the Sky one. If you watch it the Referee comes back to both of the Peterborough players and it looks as if he brandishes a yellow at Toney first and then shows a straight red to Tomlin. If you look at his face whilst he is doing it he absolutely looks like he looks at each in turn for the card he is showing. It isn't recorded like that but have a look peoples and see what you think.

That would make sense sensible (too many sensible's)......Toney's infringement first, yellow card ...(could have been a straight red for a rugby tackle).

Then Tomlin a straight red for a physical attack.

We were obviously getting under their skin....having already beaten us 5-0 they expected an easier game to impress their new manager with.
