    Leeds Utd v Swansea City

Swansea make the 270 mile trip North to Elland Road on Wednesday evening hoping to keep their play off hopes alive following a gritty performance to see off Millwall last weekend.

The Swans currently sit 11th in the Championship on 44 points, 6 points behind Bristol City and Derby!

Daniel James played for the first time for the Swans since his failed transfer to Elland Road, and it seems the 21yo hadn't lost any of his spark!

Will Potter play James against Leeds?

    Will James want to play?

Two other ex Leeds players who both endured torrid times at Elland Road should both feature against the Whites.

Matt Grimes, and in particular Oli McBurnie would both love to rub salt into the wound!

Leeds will be without Jack Clarke. The 18yo has been told to rest for a week following breathing problems during the latter stages of the Boro game on Saturday which saw the youngster stretchered off, and taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

Adam Forshaw has recovered from a knock and Barry Douglas has been declared fit following a muscular injury that has seen the highly rated left back sidelined since the beginning of January.

Let's hope the rest has done him good. If ever we needed players to rediscover their form from earlier in the season - it's now!

Would like to see Douglas back at LB and Alioski wide left. I’d put Pablo back in at 10 and probably start with Bamford and tell him give it his all for 45 minutes as Roofe is getting the second half. Forshaw would remain on the bench for me, Clarke out means no option but to play Harrison and my biggest fear... James scoring against us, you just know he will.

Just wondering if there is any possibility Stevens from the U23's could get a call up...question is Izzy ready ?

Izzy never made it off the bench, no U23 outing between now and Wednesday night so if he wasn’t ready on Saturday I can’t see he will be on Wednesday unless we have a few tired legs...

I've been very disappointed by Stevens this year. As have a number of people I've spoken to at the u23 matches. It's a question of commitment. It's almost as if he can sniff the chance of a first team call-up & is trying to avoid getting injured so he'll not miss the opportunity. Bit like Izzy, tbh. Dalby's commitment was questioned in the same manner too, and he's been sent out on loan to get his act together. Now if the fans can see this .....

Just to be clear, I like Stevens. Not quite sure where he'd play in the first team, tbh. If it's RW you're thinking of, think no further than Shackleton.

Think Bielsa has already said Douglas wont be fit for the Swans game, but likely to be for Bolton, although Forshaw should be available for selection.

Or tell him to make his own way there and to get there nice and early, say 4 or 5 hours before kick off, and then not tell him if he's been named on the team sheet or not :)

Couldn't give a flying f'ck. C'mon the spy catcher - get this "big club" and the Wurzels behind you. The Jacks will be lucky to be around next season let alone top 6.

Norwich and West Brom for the autos with the spy catcher in the playoffs but not winning it - that'll either be the Blades or Boro.

The "Big club", Wurzels and the Jacks won't last the pace. Only one of them will contest the 3rd spot lottery and that's only if the FA bottle it in giving them a points deduction for their manager's outrageous behaviour.

I'm only on here because I've not spotted any Super Mods about at the moment (Leed's board joke)........<laugh>

Phil and Lurker - I do frequent this board quite often and have come to regard it as a kindred spirit in this anonymous forum life we lead.

I doubt you two would fit in as you're far too sensitive......:emoticon-0105-wink:

    Interesting facts about Swansea City

please log in to view this image

The old Vetch site in 1912
Swansea Town rose from a patch of land owned by Swansea Gaslight Company. An area in the centre of the expanding town, vegetables were grown on the site - hence the name. The area had informally been used as an area for sport before, and following a public meeting at the Royal Hotel in 1912, a seven-year lease was secured. Swansea - and their first home - were born.
